Salutation Inn

We had a great stay at the Salutation Inn, the staff were helpful and friendly, the pub had a great atmosphere and the food was great. The accomodation was clean, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was however dated, with painted tiles and had signs of damp on the cieling from a leak.That said we would e happy to stay again.

Warm reception, clean and tidy, lovely local people in the bar, beautiful river Nevern right at the end of their lawn. Slightly old fashioned but really good value. Would stay again - ideal for visiting my son and family in nearby Cilgwyn.

Aithough the property is on a main road the noise from the traffic cannot be heard . The restaurant provides excellent food at a very reasonable pice,

Staff very nice. Food good. The room was very bad! It was damp and mouldy and the damp smell was overpowering. In the morning the inside of the window was soaking wet. We then understood why the empty room doors and windows were left open. We paid for three nights but checked out after only one. Nobody was available to complain to so we just handed the key to the breakfast lady and left. This is not a room at a village inn. It’s a room in a flat roofed annex that smells of damp and mould. The worst room we have ever stayed in! Luckily we found a nice alternative a few miles down the road. It meant we had to pay extra for for another two nights but it was worth it. We felt the damp conditions could have impacted on our health had we stayed longer in the Salutation Inn. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The worst room we have ever stayed in! No refund offered for the nights we didn’t stay either - and it cost us another £255 to stay elsewhere! Beware! The good reviews are unbelievable in our opinion.

Excellent find . Breaking up our journey from west wakles to swansea . Staaff are friendly and brilliant.Food is five star . Garden area superb.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom was a little dated but everything functioned well, we had an evening meal which was excellent and the breakfast was cooked to order and wholesome one of the best breakfasts enjoyed. We only stayed one night on our way to Ireland convenient for ferry port of Fishguard.

Nice location and quiet. Some amenities out dated, but generable a pleasant stay at a reasonable price.
