Riad Al Mendili Private Resort & Spa

We chose the Riad Al Mendili from previous reviews & were not disappointed. You will get warm welcome from the french owners, the staff are courteous & helpful, our room was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. There are plenty of places to sit and relax. Lots of comfortable seating areas in the Riad, a lovely roof terrace, well kept gardens. There is a good size swimming pool which is unheated. Half is shallow so I imagine it heats up quickly in warmer weather. There is also an outdoor Jacuzzi. We both had massages in the Spa which were excellent & reasonably priced. The Al Mendili is in an isolated location so we were glad to have pre-booked a taxi from the airport & half board. There is no menu but the cook did her very best to accommodate our dietary needs - 1 veggie, 1 gluten free. The food was fresh & tasty.

amazing rustic, authentic hotel, not your normal style hotel but defo one to experience..hotel staff couldn't be nicer, the owners meet and greet you when you arrive - a very personal touch..

Huit jours très agréable ou les repas peuvent être pris ou l'on veut à n'importe quel endroit de la maison ou au bord de la piscine. Le personnel est à l'écoute et les patrons toujours prêts à donner des bonnes adresses.Les chambres sont joliments décorées et les suites très spatieuses avec terrasse privative; elles sont faites tôt le matin et le soir la couveture est faite .

We were met with mint tea and a very friendly welcome by the charming proprietors and from the very first moments began to talk of how soon we could come back. In addition to the marvellous setting and gardens, the attention to detail in the décor, the staffs' attitudes and cleanliness made this small hotel an absolute delight. With so many sweet little seating areas and terraces it was always possible to find a private, luxurious corner to relax and enjoy the views of the Atlas mountains. We ate each night on the roof terrace, watching palm trees silhouetted in the sunset and enjoying the French influenced Moroccan food/ Moroccan influenced French food. There was no menu, no choice of dish but that was absolutely fine by both of us: we had been asked upon arrival, even before we knew if we would eat there, if we had any allergies or dislikes. The food was excellent, although more akin to UK hotel prices than our meals in the city. We each had 2 spa treatments & the spa which was clean, discreet and with very high calibre staff and products. Very enjoyable.

A long weekend in a beautiful setting. The Riad was stunning in it's decor and design and Claire, the niece of the French owners, was in charge this summer and could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with air conditioning, balcony and shutters. The pool was clean and the gardens are beautifully tended. The double sunbeds are excellent with deep cushions and clean towels and umbrella. Plenty of room so you do not have to sit close to the handful of guests staying at one time. The breakfast was Moroccan in style, a perfect amount and good! Lunch and dinner were also tasty and personalised according to what we wanted. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

The best place I've ever stayed in! absolutely enchanting!

This hotel is based just outside of Marrakech, a reasonable distance, to enable you to completely relax away from the craziness that is the Medina and main square. This is a beautify hotel, the team working there, from Claire the manager to the ladies that serve breakfast to Mossin who waits the tables at lunch and dinner, to the young lad that dutifully tends the gardens every morning, can not do enough to make your stay as relaxed and amazing as you want. The food breakfast, Lunch and Dinner all amazing and some of the best food we ate in Morocco whilst we were there. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would defiantly return for a short break. The Riad is beautifully set in its oasis of green, and don't be afraid of the dirt track to get there, you will not be disappointed, the pictures do not do it justice.

To say this is paradise would be underselling it! The most perfect setting, rooms, hotel, grounds, views and staff. the perfect place to escape to from the madness of Marrakesh. Could rave on about it for ages but you need to experience this place for yourself. Perfection! Heaven truly is a place on earth!!!
