At The Sound

We had to leave earlier than planned because the condition of the accommodation was unbearable for us. Everything was dirty, full of dust and hairs and there were also dead animals at the sink. We had booked a room with a garden view, which in fact does not exist. In front of the room and balcony is a busy main road which is unbearably loud even with the balcony door closed. The hotel seems to be very popular with dog owners who leave their dogs alone for hours so you can enjoy permanent barking. Many of the furniture, cookware etc is broken. Last but not least we did not feel safe at all because the door does not close properly even though it is locked.

Good layout, front door lock difficult, stale coffee single serves, shower door didn’t shut, no body lotion in the dispenser & lots of bugs in the unit.

Staff were super friendly and helpful and room and outdoor area was nice and neat

Our stay was nice. The property is located central to the beach and amenities. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pool area is nice with an actual "hot" tub.

We were very kindly welcomed on the day of our arrival. The lady a the reception gave us a brief tour of our room and information about bus connections to a shopping centre. The room itself was o.k, a bit outdated though. A big MINUS: there were a lot of flies in our room, very unhygienic, they were really everywhere. Since there was nobody to be seen at the reception we could not report this and have this 'problem' solved. On departure there was, once again, no one present at the reception, only a note on the door with a phone number that we could call and then someone would come over. Called, no response, so we just put the key in a bin for guests who would leave outside reception hours, which did not apply to us, since we checked out a 9.15 AM. So, sadly, no good feeling about our stay.

One of the dining chairs was broken the seat had come off, I put in the corner, toilet seat loose, screw protruding in entry door causing front door not to close. I meant to tell you when we left but I forgot. Maybe check that all things are working like the A/C remote
