The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

By far one of the best Ritz and Exceptional staff and service. Starting from Arpit in the call centre who made sure that the reservations were unto par and followup via email and phone call. Frank Frank at the front desk is your GOTO person - extremely helpful, polite and professional. He made our stay even better by always being available. At the Manzanita restaurant HUGE shout out to servers Anthony and Vishu - again, polite professional and attentive. Made dining there a pleasure. Same for indoor bar Mike and another gentleman bar tender are the ones that. you need for your cocktails. Finally, Natasha at the Spa - reach out to her for any of your Spa appointments. Extremely knowledgeable and above and beyond helpful. Heather at the Spa is helpful as well, however, most of my interaction was with Natasha.

Went to Lodge restaurant for drinks and dessert at 5:30 pm wait one half hour for ice water to be bought to table. 45 minutes for two cocktails left after one hour and half never got desserts order nor hot tea nor sparking water. I complain they comp the two cocktails. People around us were getting up getting their own water for table. Others were searching other tables for silverware and napkins. Staff was nice and very apolegtic. I was expecting something better from a 5 Star hotel

the majority had great customer service but, We booked a room for 5 people but guess what, THEY GAVE US A ROOM FOR TWO! - am we went to the pool, no towels so my father asked for some at 7 - 1 and a half hours later then brought the towels, i would expect better from a 5 star hotel. I’m not mad, i’m disappointed.

What a delightful surprise this place turned out to be! The perfect blend of professionalism and personality made every moment memorable. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their work, and their enthusiasm was contagious. I found myself smiling more often than not, whether I was relaxing in my room or exploring the common areas. A real mood-lifter!

No played breakfast, no lobby bar, only gift shop self service most of the time. Limited staff who wouldn’t greet us. Only received turndown service the first night. We called for valet morning of departure and luggage service and waited and waited. We finally got downstairs and car still hadn’t been retrieved. Really disappointing service for the Ritz brand.

The place was beautiful

The staff went above and beyond, from house keeping to the front desk, very professional and caring. The bummer was one of the options to eat meals was under construction.
