"An appalling hotel, so bad it was almost funny..."

2.0

If there was a 0 rating this would have been our first choice. We cannot begin to describe the poor state of our 'no-smoking' room. It reeked of cigarette smoke despite the clearly ignored 'warning' signs for transgressions of this rule. The room had a badly stained and marked carpet; dirty walls; cigarette burn marks on the bed cover and mould in the bathroom above the shower; we decided that it was not the place to stay. The lady on the front desk could not provide us with another room (despite there apparently being some available online). We left, and since then, have written two sets of emails complaining and asking for a refund and have heard nothing. We will be ignoring the poorly named Premiere Classe hotels in the future.

"Average: dont expect too much, it is cheap!"

6.0

We arrived almost at 22.00 as we were lost after exiting the motorway. The hotel reception was already closed, and we couldnt find anyone there (there was info on booking sheet that if we arrived after 21, we needed to make a call to the hotel, a usual info when u booked a cheap hotel. But we forgot to make a call). Luckily, there was a reception machine on the wall next to the entrance door. Simply enter my booking number or last name and the machine proceeded with a room key. The room was small, but it is ok. It is hard to find a cheap hotel in Europe with large rooms like those in Asia. The bathroom was even smaller, but the water flew soo good. Here are the pros and cons, and i try to be as objective as possible Pros + affordable. As it is cheap, dont expect too much. They are a business firm looking for profit, not a charity shelter + nearby motorway exit, so it is a perfect location for transit (driving only) + there is check in machine available by the side of the door in case u came late + affordable breakfast available (around 6 euro). Simple but we love it + free parking Cons - very basic and average. Luckily we got a clean room, smelled fresh - tiny bathroom, barely cant move when inside - parking slot was dark and creepy, but it turned out that our car was safe and sound - noisy in the morning from people leaving, we wanted to sleep 2 hours more actually, but not possible as other guesses left too early - no taste whatsoever on hotel lay out, furniture, etc but come on.. go to hil**n or mar***t if u looking for that!

"Miniscule rooms, only 1 plug in the bedroom, thieving staff, don't go there"

2.0

Horrid perfumed smell in hallway and bedroom. People smoking when supposed to be non-smoking. On check-in we were given a coded keycard to an already occupied room. The next day I had a pair of trousers stolen. Bizarre but true. Reception totally unresponsive. Hotel car park next to a car wash which is frequented by "youths" smoking "herbal cigarettes" on one side and a completely trashed restaurant on the other side. Only book as a last resort.

"Very average motel "

6.0

Compared to the likes of Ibis, b&b hotel and Travelodge all of which I have used in the last 2 months this motel is very basic and in need of modernisation. From the outside the building is in need of a lick of paint. The rooms are small but adequate with the exception of the shower. Unless you are stick thin don't expect to comfortable get in the shower. There was also signs of damp/mold in the room.

"A terrible roach motel - stay away"

2.0

We arrived after an exhausting 8 hour drive. The hotel is in a very industrial area, but that was not a problem. However, when we walked up to the room, we found the room filled with noxious fumes, which smelled like roach spray. Within a minute our eyes were tearing, with actually tears coming out of our eyes. We could not breathe in the room, by the time we went back to the reception, we could not spend more than three minutes in this toxic environment, I have nearly lost my voice and my throat was swelling. We asked for another room, but the staff told us that this is not possible. We, therefore, asked for a refund, since they could not provide us with a room, but they told us that they cannot give us a refund and that we would have to deal with the manager, who will not be there until Monday (it was Friday evening). We have still not heard form the hotel manager or the venere customer service team and our credit card was charged for two nights of stay, even though the policy states that in case of no-show only one night would be charged. I understand the purpose of a cancellation policy, but if the hotel cannot provide a room that is inhabitable without killing the occupants, they cannot charge for the stay. This is absolutely absurd, the hotel was either left in hands of staff that could not run it, or it is a scam. How could the staff not have a means of contacting the manager in a case of emergency? The entire venue needs to be shut down, I have not seen a worse establishment in my many years of travel. We had to drive an hour to a different hotel and pay for a stay there.

"Basic but ok"

6.0

If you are looking for somewhere cheap and just want to get a nights rest while travelling south this may suit you. It is basic but you can get a good breakfast. Parking is on site and appears to have been safe. We did actually get a good nights sleep The hotel is next to a supermarket (plenty of good cheap wine) car park and car wash. Limited places to eat. Staff pleasant and helpful. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and what can you get these days for £30? I have stayed in worst places and paid more for the privilege of doing so.

"A simple low-cost roadside sleeping factory"

6.0

The Première Classe hotel is located at the Zone Industrielle Pulventeux in the western outskirts of Longwy near the busy N52 road. Première Classe is one of the cheap French highway hotel-chains. Like all of these type of hotels Première Classe Longwy is managed as a cash-cow. Staffs are friendly and correct. A restaurant and a large hypermarche are at walking distance. The hotel has 64 rooms and is on the edge of becoming outdated. The entrance hall is light and airy inside which contrasts the room which is of minimal size. Just enough space to shuffle past the bed. The room was OK for one night, was clean and had a reasonable bed. Windows can be opened and are in need to be washed. Complimentory Wi-Fi internet. The room decor definitely is minimal: flat screen TV set, tiny desk and small wardrobe. From our window we had an impressive view of a huge parking lot. The room had a separate small bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower cubicle. Continental breakfast is reasonable: cereals, yoghurt, croissants & pain-au-chocolat, bread & marmalade, orange-juice, tea & coffee. With Euro 39 for one night including breakfast the Première Classe Longwy proved value for money.

"A convenient place to stay"

6.0

Stumbled on the hotel while traveling south from Luxembourg. The place is light and airy inside which makes up for the room which was petite. just enough room to shuffle past the bed but it has an ensuite toilet & shower, flat screen TV & limited storage. Staff spoke English, were cheerful and helpful. For what it was the room was expensive but the breakfast was reasonable. Usual eat all you can cereals & rolls, yogourt (plain & fruit), juice (not drink), tea & coffee. As with most of these places there is a restraunt next door which served pretty average food
