"Amazing and beautiful location so many dolphins and wildlife to see"

8.0

Nice and relaxed , easy reach of everything

Probably not being told ahead of time of the permits you need to get, might be better if the fees are included in your stay

"Very special and memorable."

10.0

Monkey Mia is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Seeing the dolphins up close was amazing. The resort itself was well laid out and just gorgeous.

Rooms were a little dated and bathroom definitely could do with an update but the view from our balcony made up for any shortcomings.

"We had a lovely time."

7.0

The location is great, the night skies are superbly dark and clear (they've done a great job minimising uplighting), the beach is lovely with plenty of natural habitat for native critters. Parking is close to the rooms so easy to access. There is a vibrant lively family-friendly atmosphere, and thankfully everyone was quiet by 10pm. We didn't use the shared BBQs or kitchen spaces, but they looked clean and everyone seemed to be taking great advantage of them. There's a decent shop on site for incidentals or gifts. The surrounding areas had a lovely little walking garden with butterflies everywhere and walking trails (I would have appreciated more information about these at reception or noted on the map of the grounds that they give you as we didn't find the trail map/markers until our last day!) I appreciate the organisation and safeguarding with the dolphin viewing and you do indeed get close up to see them but that's only if you are in the front row as there are SO MANY people standing there. The jetty might be the better viewing point since it's slightly higher. I personally don't love that they feed the dolphins, but they explain the process and calculations well and we actually saw the dolphins fishing for themselves while we all stood there so thankfully it has not stopped them from their natural feeding behaviours.

The petrol pump ran dry and was not refilled for our remaining days. Nearest station is 26km so not too far, but don't get caught out. The shower has nowhere to set any toiletries, though at least there were hooks and a towel rail in the bathroom. The food was ok, not great, with a small uninspired selection for vegetarians. The check in staff did not seem to be interested in answering questions. The facility is less what I associate with the word "resort" (where staff are keen to assist and make your stay enjoyable) and more an RV campground with facilities and hotel rooms on site; I would probably have appreciated it much more if I had recognised that in advance. But they own all the land on the east side here, there are no other choices.

"Perfect in every way."

10.0

Close to beach and amenities. Kids running around at the arse crack of dawn can’t be helped but would be nice if the parents could be reminded not to let them run around during periods when people are sleeping like early morning and night.

Nothing everything is fab you guys do such a great job. Would like to see some healthier options on menu for breakfast like plain Yougurt and fruit options if possible but understand hard to cater for everyone

Schade
