Hampton Inn & Suites Fairbanks

Well appointed. Like the extra coat hooks provided. All the extras provided worked well, fridge, microwave etc

The cleaning crew were every other day (as stated in the hotel info), however when they came they did not do a decent job

There was hair in the shower. There was a pool party and soggy pizza crust all over the floor and at the bottom of the pool. Might be the most disgusting pool I have ever seen….

Housekeeping was suppose to be every other day but it took 2 days before we got Housekeeping, not sure what happen. Other than that it was a good stay, variety in breakfast is the most I've ever seen at an Hampton Inn

Our room was spacious and well-furnished - though we noted that the room door only locked if pushed/pulled very firmly. The hotel normally offers shuttle service to the airport/railway depot. However, the vehicle had been involved in a serious accident just before our stay, so the hotel paid for taxis to perform the journeys that the shuttle would have provided. The only problem we had at the hotel was that, on the first two days of our three day stay, breakfast was poor with no cream cheese, no bananas and (on the second day only) no butter and no fruit at all. We were told that this was due to non-arrival of the supply truck. We were amazed that, when we mentioned this to the duty manager, he said he knew nothing about any problems with breakfast. Given the hotel is a short walk from Walmart, Costco and Fred Meyer (all large well-stocked food shops) we thought the hotel should have bought some supplies locally, rather than leaving major gaps in the breakfast offering! On our third day the breakfast buffet was fully stocked – the truck had come! We were disappointed that no compensation (or even extra loyalty points) was offered for this shortfall in the hotel catering.

Quiet and safe. The staff was efficient if somewhat detached.

Nice clean hotel. Close to Sportmans Warehouse, Walmart, Friar Tucks and so on all walking within distance. Big thank you to Hannah at the front desk who was a tremendous help to us. Good luck with the triplets Hannah and hopefully you n yours enjoyed thebsnack sticks.

Location

This hotel was in a convenient spot for us. They do have an airport shuttle which will also bring you to the train ride. Breakfast was good and it was in a nice quiet spot. Room was comfortable as well.
