"It was kind of scary but okay"

6.0

This is not the typical hotel in which I prefer to stay. However, finances are tight and it was the least expensive. It is about 15/20 minutes from Liberty University- which is the reason for my stay. It is a little scary- my last night there was the most uncomfortable. It is an old hotel. The room was great though, especially for the price. It had towels, a refrigerator, heating/ac. There is an old hotel smell but it was not overwhelming. The woman and man I spoke to were nice to me. I do not recommend this hotel to single female travelers as it seems to be a stopover place for men who travel for their work. If you do stay, just keep your eyes open and be careful.

"Pretty Bad but we survived"

4.0

I stayed for graduation. I rented two rooms in advance. 1 was a double bed for my family and I and the other a single bed for my friend who was coming to see me graduate. I walked into the room for my family and immediately had shortness of breath. There was a stench of mold & mildew. The covers and carpet were old. I opened the fridge and it stunk. The microwave had oatmeal or something spilled in it. I asked to change rooms but was told they were all sold out. I went to Walmart with my parents and we bought disinfectant spray, towels (since there were not enough in the bathroom and one dirty one on the floor), bed sheets and food for overnight. My mother and I began scrubbing with the room door open and there was a woman who worked there who stopped by to give more towels and sweep/ vacuum. I then wiped the windows which had black mold and washed my hands. I visited my friend's room and saw the same sheets but no smell of mold. The wall was freshly painted, the carpet was new and renovations were made to the bathroom. When I asked the owner about it he said that they were renovating the whole place but had not gotten to the room my family was staying in. This was a health hazard. If I thought I could find another room then I would have but with graduation everything was booked. I would never recommend this place to anyone. BELIEVE the not so great reviews. I didn't and I got filth. I'll trust this site the next time I look for a hotel. Pay a few extra bucks. Do Better. Bless ya!

"Horrible Experience"

2.0

The room was horrible. Peeling paint, heavily soiled carpet, infested with bugs, dark and dingy. They charged me over $100 per night with a min of two night stay. It was right out of a scene from psycho. Definitely not worth the money I paid. I believe they raise the prices during graduation weekend to recoup their losses from the year. I knew I was in trouble when I drove up and the signage was hanging sideways. My money would have been better spent elsewhere. Almost embarrassed to say that I actually paid what I did for the room and subjected my family to such conditions. The place just needs to be shut down until the owners can afford to renovate and offer customers a decent place to stay. Especially for the prices they charged.

"Suitable hotel for the price"

6.0

The hotel isn't great, but overall I had a positive experience given the relatively cheap price I paid. The service is fine, the staff is friendly, and the room was pretty clean. The rooms aren't that nice or comfortable, but at least they're well-kept. I would recommend this hotel as a cheap overnight stop on a trip.

"A good stay for a good price"

8.0

I had to find an extended stay for several weeks, and after calling several places, Budget Inn was the most trustworthy. The staff were friendly, up front with their price, very affordable, and the room was comfortable. When I had internet issues, the staff was very responsive when I called to fix the problem. Their friendliness kept my stay.

"Not worth the money"

4.0

First off, the only reason I stayed at this hotel, and probably the only reason ANYONE would stay here, is that it's the only hotel in the Bedford area. Old property, nothing to recommend it. Room was extremely dark, and the window curtain was fixed in place, could not be opened to allow light in (probably on purpose). Small room crowded with table & chairs, small fridge and microwave. Bed not particularly comfortable, not particularly clean looking. Carpet worn, bathroom small, barely adequate shower pressure. A/C quit working sometime during the night, fortunately it was cool enough to get by without it. Wireless internet slow, and also decided to stop working at some point during the night. Room not well insulated, heard every car and truck that rolled past on route 460.

"Should have stayed in my car"

4.0

Ok should have known by the two inch thick bullet proof glass that this was bad, Customer service was rude, hotel room was actually nice looking except for the smell of pesticide, the bathroom door would not shut, guests fighting in the next room, and 12ft from the hwy so your room shakes like a chihuahua passing a peach pit when a car goes by.no blinds you could see right through the curtian. All for 65 a night worst place I have ever stayed did not sleep at all.
