Southern Lanta Resort

The location of this resort was perfect which a beach front, the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and the breakfast buffet had a lot of different options. The staff were very friendly and professional.

The bathroom (particularly the shower) could have been cleaner.

This is a lovely resort hotel, well situated for restaurants and street food at the nearby Walking Street, and has a number of decent swimming pools and beach access. Ultimately, ticked all the boxes for us. The beach is huge and very shallow, so even if you're not a confident swimmer, you can enjoy the water and the surroundings by just wading in. A nice touch was a foot washing hose and basin for washing your hands as you return from the beach into the resort area, rather than the usual clumsy outdoor shower with poor pressure. I wish every hotel did this! Pool area was perfect for our kids - enough shallow areas that they could relax a bit, a tall water slide (slide with a hose bunged through a hole - but if it works, it works), and enough space to throw a ball around, etc. We had one of the villas next to the swimming pool area, and it was massive - kids had bunk beds, and we had a good size double (maybe king size). Unlike most hotels there was also a decent amount of space for storing suitcases and hanging clothes, and a drying rack was provided for wet items, which we left out on the deck. The bathroom was a good size as well. Breakfast was a standard (but good standard) buffet affair - no complaints. We ordered some drinks and ice creams, etc when we were at the hotel during the day, and they were excellent, and it was nice to be able to order with the room number instead of leaving cash around poolside. We had lunch at the beach bar a couple of times, again, no complaints - obviously it's more expensive than if you head out for street food, but that's expected for the convenience of not leaving the resort. We hadn't organised a transfer back to Krabi because we weren't sure how much extra time we'd need to account for the ferry, and when we asked at reception they kindly organised a transfer for us and included payment as part of checking out, which was excellent. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

L'esthétique de l'hôtel et sa proximité de la plage

Dieu sait que je peux m'endormir partout mais là durant le séjour j'ai très mal dormi... Autre point négatif c'est la clim qui soufflait sur les lits

Wir hatten einen Bungalow fast direkt am Strand. der Bungalow war sauber, gross genug für uns (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind dass bei uns im Bett schläft), die Lage und der Strand sind super. Das Frühstück ist OK, nicht besonders abwechslungsreich, aber ausreichend. Wir waren 8 Nächte vor Ort und haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Hier und da ist die Anlage etwas abgewohnt.

Goede locatie, goed verzorgd

Bedden waren niet zo comfortabel. Personeel aan het restaurant (aan het strand) was zelden vriendelijk. Sluitingsuur zou om 22u00 zijn, maar ze gingen vaak al om 21:40 dicht.
