Hotel Plaza Colon

We had an amazing time here. Definitely one of the best hotels we stayed in on our 4 month travels and a gem in the centre of Granada. We felt very spoilt by the staff, the pool was great, we requested a quiet room and liked having our balcony over the pool rather than the streets. Really comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and a coffee machine. Breakfast was great and they had almond milk available for my vegan husband. On one day we went to Ometepe and they made us a breakfast box to take with us. The bar was not open late, but we enjoyed the free welcome drink eventually! Amazing hotel stay and we would recommend to anyone. Thanks to all helpful staff who make this hotel a special experience. Really recommend staying here to anyone.

Great location across from the plaza, within easy walking distance of many restaurants. The staff, every single one, was polite, courteous, and helpful. The place is beautiful and spotless. I wanted to give it five stars but the shower was terrible. There is an on-demand water heater under the bathroom sink that cycles on and off when you need hot water. So the shower water goes from room temperature to extremely hot in a few seconds. Then it slowly fades to room temperature over a minute or two and then returns to scalding hot. And the breakfast was pretty average, not bad, but it doesn’t measure up to anything else here except the shower. I don’t think I’d stay here again.

The hotel is located strategically in the center of the city, walking distance to all attractions, very friendly staff, hearty breakfast, room conditions good, pool is a bit small but sufficient for purposes of visiting the city. Would stay there again, actually wanted to extend my stay but they were fully booked unfortunately.

Excellent staff, beautiful pool, large rooms with balcony and outdoor space, great breakfast and free welcome drink - what more do you want from a hotel like this? Also great location on the square - would come back 100x and recommend to everyone I know - must stay when you are in this part of the world

Beautiful colonial hotel in ideal location, comfortable bed/pillows, excellent buffet breakfast, nice staff, especially Victor! Hotel also books tours. Picturesque, pool and gardens, romantic comfort. Balcony with rocking chairs are delightful. across from Central Plaza, many restaurants nearby.
