Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Stay Far Away If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I found cockroaches in the room — not just one or two, but enough to make your skin crawl. The final straw? I actually woke up to one crawling on me while I was sleeping. Completely unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. To make matters worse, the refrigerator in my room was broken for four days, despite reporting it immediately. I was told maintenance would handle it, but no one ever showed up. The air conditioning unit leaked all over the floor, creating a soggy, unsafe mess that also went ignored for days. I had to lay towels down just to avoid slipping. Still not fixed by the time I checked out. And let’s talk about the building — practically every window in the hotel has broken thermal panes. It looks run-down and neglected from the outside, and it’s even worse inside. This place clearly hasn’t seen proper maintenance in years. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. This place is unsanitary, poorly maintained, and downright unsafe.

The property needs some maintenance done. We had a badly cracked window, the bathtub faucet almost came off in my hand, the exhaust fan didn’t work, the shower curtain wasn’t wide enough and it couldn’t close all the way when showering. On the other hand, the free breakfast was very good with a wide variety of foods including gluten free muffins. If they added cook your own waffles, it would be outstanding.

"Not a great Marriott location."

So disappointed. Only stayed a second night because of the location. Stayed because close to hospital where my family was admitted. Plumbing issues (toilet and bath) and water stains and peeling on ceilings in two rooms I stayed in - clearly from leak above.

"Why would you write up a 20 year employee for helping family members experiencing a loved ones medical emergency"

On June 30th my brother in law was transported to a Waco hospital and had to have emergency open heart surgery on July 1st. My wife and sister in law spent June 30th at the hospital. On July 1st, I booked a room at the hotel for my wife and sister in law with points. My wife was in such a rush to drive to Waco on June 30th that she forgot her driver's license in another wallet. She had her Marriott credit card, a Citibank visa card (Costco) with a photo on the back and a Costco card with a photo, along with a photo of her passport. On July 1st the kind gentleman checking her in understood the urgent situation and accepted the IDs. When checking out on July 1st, my wife advised that they may be back for another night. The stay was pleasant although they had plumbing issues in the room and did report the issue upon checking out of room 300. On July 2nd, I booked another reservation with points because my brother in law was still in ICU after 4 emergency bypasses. My wife went to check in to the hotel and used the same credentials as the night prior. Alan at the front desk and the manager (Meghan) refused to allow check in because she did not have her driver's license. She explained that she checked out that morning and when she checked in on July 1st the gentleman accepted the four forms of ID. As a platnium member of Marriott, I was able to talk with Alan and added my sister in law to the reservation because she had her driver's license for identification. My wife spoke on the phone after checking in with the manager and while we understand that the manager was following that locations protocol for IDs, that she could have made the exception. Instead, the manager advised that she planned to write up the employee from July 1st who is a 20 year employee with Marriott for not following that locations protocol for identification. My wife called Marriott Bombay and reported the situation. Marriott told my wife that the Manager could have made the exception based on the credentials that she provided the night prior. The credentials clearly showed three photo IDs along with two credit cards in her name and her passport. They could have also verified her identification with me. The customer service was excellent at Marriott Bomboy. Concerning writing up a 20 year old employee for not adhering to that locations ID rules, Bomboy said they would be surprised if that employee is written up for helping my wife and sister in law. The second night's stay started off rough but Alan did call to ask if the room was okay. Outside of the bathtub drain leaking and some water damage on the ceiling from the room above, it turned out okay because the location was close to the hospital and convenient.
