Black Forest Bed & Breakfast

I loved our beautiful Honeymoon suite with the canopy bed and heart shaped jacuzzi tub. Angie and Matthew were wonderful hosts. Very kind , sweet and generous. They provided a delicious breakfast every day and always made sure we were taken care of .

I loved the hosts. They were so kind and personable and it really seemed like they wanted to do anything they could to make your stay special. I thought the bed was very comfortable (a little squeaky) so I slept well both nights. The room (13) we were in was very large and it had everything in it we could need. The room and linens felt clean but I won’t say that everything was in tip top shape. There was wear and tear. Paint touch ups, a couple cracks and small stains on carpet but it didn’t detract from our stay as there was so much else that I felt was positive. PS the breakfast was amazing. Eggs, 2 types of breakfast meats, pancakes, fresh fruit that was actually delicious, toast, snacks and even a fresh veggie option. Wonderful.

My biggest complaint about the property was parking and that was a common theme in some of the reviews I read before we booked. We took a truck and if I could do it over I’d take a smaller vehicle. There is parking right before the main office and right after but the lots are small for turn arounds etc. In their defense, I believe the owners are in the process of making a third lot above the retaining wall. At least that’s what it looks like so they do appear to hear the complaints and take action.

Lovely place and beautiful family the food was excellent. We definitely will go bad.

The only thing bad is there is alot of steps but we stayed in 1 it was amazing and we also stay on top the view was amazing. Just know there is steps.

Everything! Great accomodations, great staff, great breakfasts!

Wish we could have stayed longer!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gentlemen who checked us in went out of his way to explain local attractions and resturants to us. He also took us to the dinning room, snack location, etc. to ensure we knew where everything was. Also, everytime we'd see an employee around the property they'd ask if we needed anything and how our visit was going. Lastly, the included breakfast was great and offered a good variety of food.

The windows only had blinds and no curtains which allowed a lot of light into the room from the parking lot, which made it hard for us to sleep. Adding curtains would solve this problem. Also, the parking is tight but due to the location there really isn't anything that can be done to fix this issue.
