Garrick House

Very close (about 150 m) to the beach location. Spacious accommodation. Full amenities including washing machine, drier, dishwasher and plenty of kitchen appliances. Very helpful and friendly hosts.

The location was great and a short walk from the beach or town. It had all the things we were looking for - parking, kitchen area, lounge. The best bit was the fabulous balcony. My advice would be go for the corner apartments with the extra outside space. Andrew's advice was spot on.

The bathroom was very tired and needed an update but the rest of the apartment was absolutely fine. The route to the bathroom through the closet was also rather strange. I'd have preferred to have it as a closet and just have the bathroom accessible from the lounge.

Nice location

As a seasoned traveller of over 50 years, my view is that this Property is a little dated ,the furniture and decor made the venue feel more like a hostel, no fly screen fitted to our apartment front door, we had issues in apartment 14 with the patio door not locking, the safe not working and the shower in the apartment was pathetic, extremely low water pressure, once the issues were raised with Andrew and Cindy the door and the safe were repaired however the shower issues did not get resolved, mid contract the apartment was serviced, clean towels sheets etc , however when the cleaning crew had finished they left our apartment door unlocked for the day until we arrived home in the evening!!! more attention to detail on the apartment pre checks and maintenance is required in my view , I would not stay at Garrick House again any time soon, however I would most certainly recommend Port Douglas as a place to visit

The location was splendid. Easy walk to coffee shops in the morning, beach at doorstep and Macrossan street a walking distance. Also loved our apartment. Was spacious with huge balcony that we used few times for our dinner (nights we bought takeout). We also enjoyed many hikes and walks that were easy and within reach as well spending time in the sea. Furnishings were great, clean and comfortable.
