Stardust Motel

I booked a room for my husband for Friday night because he works in Naperville an hour and a half from her home. When he has to work a Saturday he doesn't get off until midnight on Friday and then has to be there at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday so he just needs a few hours of sleep. He stopped there on his way to work around 3:00 p.m. to get checked in so when he got off work he could just go to sleep. The rude man at the counter said he didn't show that he had a reservation. Although my husband had the confirmation code he said that the payment had not gone through on booking.com. that was not correct because I had the confirmation that it did go through. My husband got so frustrated and he just left cuz he had to get to work. I called the number that was posted on booking.com for the place of business and the first two times it went to voicemail. The third time I called from my cell phone and the man answered and asked me rudely how did you get this phone number? This is my personal cell phone. I said well then don't post it on booking.com if you don't want people to use it. He asked what I wanted because he was busy. I said I'm busy as well! But you can't seem to find my husband's reservation that I made, although he stays there most Friday nights has been since March! And then he finally said oh I just found it. It was under another name. It's the same way it's always been. I book it they said who's going to be staying there and I list my husband's name. He was yelling and screaming at me on the phone what do you want from me? I said I want you to get your crap together and be more efficient for your customers! It's a decent motel and it's clean and cheap. And when you're only going there to sleep for 4 or 5 hours it's a good choice. But the man with a thick accent that is there during the day is a jerk.

The daytime manager with the heavy accent. He can't seem to handle the business when it's busy and can't seem to find reservations and accommodate customers. And then wants to yell at you for it!

I only stay midnight til 530 am for work purposes. So it suits my needs.

They have smoking rooms

The room was much nicer than the pictures on their website. The room was immaculately clean. It was a good central walkable location to downtown. I would stay there again.

Great place

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Fridge & microwave came in handy. Good food across the street at Crosstown Pub & Grill. It's an older hotel, but the price was right & location was perfect for us.
