Lynford Hall Hotel

The house was amazing and the grounds wonderful. A few minor repairs could be seen that needing addressing but nothing major. Our shower sprung a leak that left the carpet outside the bathroom wet, but staff were very apologetic and would have done more if we had told them at the time!

A great hotel in wonderful grounds and on the edge of the marvellous National Forest of Thetford. We had a basic price room but it was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent.

The room itself was good, a little tired but clean. We knew one of the beds was a 'rollaway' as described in the booking however when we arrived at the hotel we were then expected to pay an additional £20 for the privilege of having this bed! We had not received the email stating this as Hotels.com decided to create an account for the cardholder not the person who booked!! The hotel receptionist did at least have the decency to wave the payment as we had no idea and had an email stating the room had been paid for in full. We then were told about breakfast not being served until 8am, which was an issue as we had to leave at 7.30am - the receptionist assured us that she would let the breakfast staff know so we could at least have a continental. However when we arrived at breakfast we were told it wasn't ready and then ignored!!! We explained we had booked but staff chose to ignore this and carry on setting up. A real shame as this hotel was clearly a beautiful and grand place to stay once upon a time but the service is a little lacking now. Wouldn't stay again.

On the whole it was a lovely stay with friendly, helpful staff in a beautiful quiet area. There were some minor cleaning issues which need attention; a few cobwebs in the bathroom and the windows on the landing could do with a clean on the outside.

Lovely place with a comfortable room.Poor shower with brown water.A real shame as breakfast was nice and staff friendly. Hope they can fix it soon as the Hall was looking fab.

Lovely setting but room did not have a virw of forest

Nervous about staying with a 14 week old puppy but both puppy and my wife and I were made welcome and able to relax. Thank you.
