Comfortable bed and pillows very clean room

Everytime a car went in and out the roller door was very noisy below our room very annoying trying to sleep

friendly staff, quiet rooms, great access Enjoyable sunrises and sunsets on the balcony and great to have a kitchenette for nights in.

Location is JUST a little out of "town" but still 100% walking distance.

I liked that the property was in a convenient location close to the shops. The views and location on top of the hill were nice, although it may be less suitable for people unable to walk longer distances. Due to the bad weather we ended up driving most places, but overall I liked how close the property was to nearby amenities. The staff were also kind and helpful throughout our stay. They contacted us a couple of days before arrival to confirm our booking and provide information about check-in, which was appreciated and made the process feel organised and welcoming. On arrival, staff introduced themselves and were friendly and approachable, which helped create a positive first impression of the property. The elevators were also very fast and convenient, making it easy to get around the property efficiently.

We did not like how loud the bathroom exhaust fan was, as it automatically switched on with the light and could not be turned off separately. It became quite disruptive, especially at night or during early mornings. We also found there were far more stairs throughout the property than expected. While we were aware there would be stairs leading up to the room, we did not realise there were also multiple sets of stairs throughout the hotel corridors and walkways. This made carrying luggage quite difficult and would likely be challenging for anyone with mobility issues, young children, heavy bags, or anyone who struggles with stairs in general. We also found the bedding did not appear fully clean on arrival, with noticeable yellow stains on the bedding. The underground parking was also quite steep to enter and exit. Access required swiping a card at the gate, however the buzzer and card reader were positioned very close to the boom gate, making it a little awkward to access safely. Drivers with larger or longer vehicles may need to be particularly careful when entering and exiting the car park

Customer service from Carol on the reception desk was outstanding. Easy check-in process, spacious apartment, within an easy walk to the Nelson Bay town centre.
