La Quinta by Wyndham Sulphur Springs

The shower had a shower wand since it was a disabled shower. I had the presence of mind to order one. Most hotels don’t have shower wands in a standard room for women to rinse the soap residue from areas that can cause infections. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and liked dogs.

It was styled like a college dorm room. Modern minimalist is a hotels poor excuse to maintain it under a lower budget. Plus it made me feel I overspent for my room.

Excellent breakfast

The Hotel was close to the local airport where we were attending a competition. Lots of restaurants nearby. The staff was very helpful, polite & professional. Room was well appointed and clean. Nice swimming pool. Property was well kept and clean. This is our second year staying at this location and we will return next year.

No hot breakfast on Sunday due to a vehicle accident where an electrical pole was knocked down and power was out at time for staff to prepare breakfast. This was not a fault of the Hotel or staff, it just happened.

The Bed was comfortable and front desk was nice.

The air conditioner in our room had a bad moldy smell and my husband and I became ill within a few days of leaving. The room felt humid even with the air at its coldest. All the first floor Room doors were all sweating due to the heat and humidity from the indoor pool which the pool room door was always open to the main hallway.

Very nice, very clean, and very friendly staff, and very close to a lot of food stops and stores.

Inside pool was really the only thing but I don’t really swim anyways so not a big deal more of a girlfriend complaint.
