Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Asheville West near Biltmore

This hotel was great. Very clean, very comfortable and very easy to find. No issues with the hotel cleanliness, room assignment, or location. I'd likely stay again, but be cautious around the front desk staff.

Upon check-in, the front desk staff was very rude. She must have been having a bad day as she was clearly agitated. I politely asked if they had any ADA rooms available and was told our room was already assigned. She told me the rooms were assigned when they were booked and could not be changed. As I am traveling with my family and were not sure where we would stop, the reservation was made less than an hour before we arrived. An ADA room was not expected, but we always like to check if one is available. It makes it easier for some members of my family. I mentioned the reservation was made less than an hour ago and she told me she assigned the room. She finally relented and we discussed the room location and if this location was acceptable. Thankfully, the location was on the first floor and worked out perfectly for my family. Based on her attitude and combativeness, I wasn't sure how things would have unfolded if the room had been an issue. After unloading our car and bags, when I walked by the front desk, the front desk person was having a loud, lively conversation on her cell phone. I'm not sure if this contributed to her poor demeanor, but I returned to our room walking on eggshells to prevent potentially unleashing a tirade by simply talking to her. There were no issues with our room, stay, check-out or departure. I hope the issues with the front desk were simply a bad day, but her interactions soured the staff rating noted in this review.

I liked the variety of breakfast items. The room was huge, it was a handicap room. The pool was small but it was nice to sit by and get some work done.

The shower had damage done to the floor of it and there were old pimple patches stuck to the shower wall. Coming from someone who owns a cleaning business, that is absurd. We are all human so I still left a tip, I know how exhausting it can be.
