Pai Vista

I had reservations about the hotel as it was seldom rated by travellers. But it was quote a surprise! This decent hotel provides a comfortable room and splendid services and the best thing was the low cost. The room service, laundry service and mini bar selection are both commendable and affordable. The restaurant, "The Jungle" serves decent food with a good ambience. But the staff need to improve the service standards. The hotel is in the vicinity of the Palace and Church but is in an inconspicuous position. Although it is along the main road, but the absence of signs will make it difficult to find. That was the magic. The hidden haven of Pai Vista made my stay inn Mysore a pleasant one

Das Pai Vista liegt mitten in der Stadt Mysore, gegenüber dem Busbahnhof. Die Zimmer sind sehr gross und modern eingerichtet. Freundlicher Service und zwei gute Restaurants gehören zu den weiteren Pluspunkten dieses Hotels. Wir waren rundum zuufrieden.

Overall staff attitude much to be desired, with the exception of 2 short, stout men at the reception. They were the only ones who had a smile on their faces. Room was basic and housekeeping substandard. Both theme restaurants need a good clean-up. Hygiene sorely lacking and furniture tops were sticky. They did not know difference between butter and magarine! Would be good to just turn these into regular restaurants which would make it easier for cleaning. Staff very curt and not at all accommodating. The spa smelt and is a sure turn-off. Luckily it was just a 2nite stay, otherwise would have checked out the first day.

We had a lovely stay at Pai Vista Hotel. Everything was clean, well kept and reasonably priced. The food was good, and we loved the jungle-themed restaurant. The hotel serves alcohol as well, and we really enjoyed having our steak with a bottle of wine! For those interested in jewelry and handicrafts, there are some shops on the ground floor, and if you run out of money, no worries! There is an ATM just outside the hotel. From the train station to the hotel we paid Rs. 16/-, from the hotel to the Mysore Palace, we paid Rs. 20/- and for a tour of the city, we paid Rs. 50/-. There is a nice Ayurvedic Spa on the top floor, and a small rooftop pool for cooling off. We would definitely recommend the hotel, and at our next visit to Mysore, we will stay there again.

This a decent, inexpensive hotel in the centre of Mysore. Room facilities were very good. Restaurants had tasty but somewhat spicy food though "Goofa" was a bit dark. They have free wifi but coverage is patchy. Staff were generally very helpful. Excellent value for money.

Le service hôtelier et la chambre sont très satisfaisants. Attention à certaines chambres donnant sur une rue très animée de Mysore. Restauration de bonne qualité, à condition d'aimer les épices (même au petit-déjeuner)

Centrally located with all the facilities and good restaurants, Hotel Pai Vista was perfect for our stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Mysore. Their Jungle restaurant was awesome, Gufa restaurant was also very good.
