The location is perfect for a lovely relaxing stay! It feels like the world is a million miles away, but it's only about a minute away! The grounds are beautiful and the woodland is worth a walk around, very peaceful.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Lovely chateau - great character. Plenty of parking available.

We stayed on a Wednesday night and although the hotel advertises that the restaurant is closed on a Sunday and Wednesday evening it’s out of the way so nothing in walking distance.

Nice old Chateau with great public rooms and a pleasant garden to wonder around in. Good selection of food in the restaurant with good service. Welcoming staff in all areas.

I thought that our room (30) which was a cottage was very nice but needs bringing up to a higher standard to warrant the room rate.

Le personnel de salle s’est montré particulièrement sympathique, disponible et attentif tout au long du séjour, avec une vraie volonté de répondre aux demandes des clients de manière efficace et agréable. Cette qualité d’accueil contribue clairement à l’expérience globale. Le petit-déjeuner, sans être extravagant, était simple mais complet, avec l’essentiel bien présenté et en quantité suffisante pour commencer la journée dans de bonnes conditions. Enfin, le cadre constitue un véritable point fort : l’endroit possède du charme, une atmosphère agréable et un environnement qui participe pleinement au plaisir du séjour.

D’accord, le bâtiment a du cachet et peut être ancien, mais « château vieux » ne devrait pas rimer avec « château négligé ». Certaines prises ne fonctionnent qu’en les manipulant, l’éclairage de la salle de bain fonctionne de manière aléatoire, plusieurs carrelages sont cassés ou présentent des joints encrassés, et le jardin manque clairement d’entretien. Bref, au vu du prix demandé, l’ensemble devrait être dans un état nettement meilleur.
