The suite I stayed in was really nice . Beds where comfortable,plenty of space for 7people .breakfast was decent and staff was nice

The amenities at this hotel were great, the hot tub and pool were clean and parking was convenient and close to the side door by elevators for my disabled mother. However, I booked a double queen accessible suite with a walk-in shower with a shower seat. When we arrived at 3pm for check in I was told our room was not ready yet. They were still renovating so I was offered a standard room that was ready. I was charged for for the suite and said alright I'll wait for the room I booked because I needed the accessibility for my mother. We returned a half hour later to a different desk associate who informed me that not only was the room I booked still not ready, but they said my booking was a standard room. The only accessible room they had was a king suite so I said I would take it. However when we finally arrived to the room there were no light bulbs in any of the lamps, the wall mounted soaps in the shower were empty, and there was a tub and no shower seat so my mother couldn't even get in the shower during our stay. I headed down to the hot tub and there were also no towels stocked in the pool area. Were the room to be stocked appropriately and the room I booked ready this would have been a pleasant stay.

What a disappointment! After spending $504.66 for two nights I couldn’t be more ready to go home!! It appears as though the renovation is in the last stages of completion. The staff was very friendly, and the new furnishings and carpet chosen were nice…..BUT….. We were aware this hotel was completing a renovation so we were not unprepared for the possibility of construction noise or construction workers. However….to put us in a room right next door to a room that was under renovation was surprising. They were pounding and yelling at each other the entire day. We were in our room for the afternoon and it surprised me that the hotel wouldn’t group renovation rooms together, and guests staying in completed rooms somewhere else. However…the room they put us in couldn’t possibly have been considered finished. The wall paper, carpet and furniture had all been replaced. But the room was filthy. The closet had dry wall dust (or plaster dust) all over the floor where the drill had drilled holes for the closet organizer and shelving unit. The floors in the bathroom and kitchenette had never been washed after construction. They were dusty, dirty and sticky. You had to keep your shoes on. The curtains were way too long for where the curtain rods were hung so the curtains laid on the floor and looked messy. The toilet paper holder was not glued onto the wall after wall papering so every time you touched the toilet paper the entire holder would fall out of the wall. When flushing the toilet the water would spray out of the toilet so you had to constantly wipe off the toilet seat. The kitchenettes are not being renovated and the drawers were very hard to open they are so old and rickety, and there was no silverware in them other than a couple spoons. The cabinetry was sticky and dirty and the cook top was old and rusted. Why bother renovating the rest of the room if you are going to leave the kitchenette in such poor shape? It appeared as though the construction people are given a room where the renovation is taking place. They were in and out of the room across the hall from us and the room being renovated. There were piles of pizza boxes, take out food boxes in bags sitting outside their room in the hallway in the morning. It was disgusting to wake up to. They were loud up until 12:30 am. Fast forward to the fitness room….my son was so excited that there was a Peloton bike in the fitness room. However the bike seat was broken and the handle to lower the broken seat was broken also so it was stuck at a certain level. We turned it on and low and behold according to the screen it could not connect to the internet for the classes and had not been connected to the internet since September of 2024. That is more than 8 months ago! You might as well throw the thing out because it’s useless and has not been taken care of. (I know because we have one!!) Decided to use the treadmills instead. Apparently when they renovated the fitness room they did the renovation with the equipment in the room. They were horribly dirty with drywall dust, dirt, drops of something liquid….one treadmill had the belt that you walk on torn which is a huge liability for the hotel if someone were to trip on the shredded part of the belt. It should not even be an option in the fitness room for safety reasons. Has the Homewood Suites not heard of all the lawsuits for Peloton and others surrounding the safety of treadmills??? There was a water machine, but no cups….no towels. I don’t think an employee had ever cleaned that fitness room since the new wall paper and flooring went it. The common areas of the hotel had construction foot prints and spills of stuff that hadn’t been washed in days. It just continued to build up and get worse over the two nights we were there. We were there for the whole weekend and never watched anyone clean anything other than in the food service area. You still have guests in the hotel so be mindful of that!! I want my money back. The pictures attached don't even do the dirt justice.
