We needed a hotel in the Texas Panhandle area on our way home from the Midwest. We tried nearby hotels in Dahlert but the Dumas La Quinta offered the most reasonable competitive price for a night. We booked for $118.14 including tax and fees. There was plenty of free off-street parking with some turn around space. It is across the highway from a Wal-Mart and shares the parking lot with an Arby's. It is right next door to the Window on the West Museum and is a short drive to other restaurants, shopping and conveniences. It has walkable space. Check in was efficient and friendly. It is a multiple story building, but it does have an elevator. We had an accessible room. It was large with a separate desk and chair and a separate lounge chair. We had a king bed with two nightstands. There was a two-drawer dresser. We had a microwave and a small mini fridge with a small freezer section. There was a hairdryer, coffee maker and iron and board. The bathroom was self-contained with toiletries in dispensers. It was a very quiet hotel though busy. The back rooms look out at a farm field. There was a fitness center and business center. The breakfast was amazing with scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausages, biscuits & gravy, waffles & toppings, and other continental items. There was a dog center with green space for walking, The grounds and facility were fairly clean. It was a safe area. Easy to get on and off the nearby highway.

Property seemed a little run down, many weeds and dead bushes at entrance. Lobby area was tidy and staff that helped at check in was friendly. We had been traveling hours that day and we booked as they had a hot tub and pool, unfortunately the both where so green and cloudy we did not feel comfortable getting in them. The room was clean, but oddly arranged it was if there should have been another bed or maybe a sleeper sofa in the empty space, so there was no where to sit other than on the bed or at a desk. The bathroom needs a re-haul, there were no hooks to hang towels or a toiletry bag. The flooring in bathroom is "wood" many soft spots and peeling up. The cabinet door that held the microwave and mini-fridge was broken and made it hard to close/keep close. I liked that the hallways were brightly lit.
