Hotel Nandan

Hotel Nandan is good place of stay for family and business travelers. Its location is good, on main GS road in Paltan Bazar area. Front desk staff were supportive and check in process completed within minutes with complimentary drink. Room was spacious and comfortable, no expect luxury but room was clean. They provide soap dispenser only in bathroom, no separate shampoo or moisture etc. I don't like this, may be hotel using this for economy purpose. Bedsheet was clean but seems to be old. There are two restaurants and one bar in hotel. Breakfast provided in Trans curry restaurants was good. I like dinner in Trans curry restaurant with live singers performance. Dinner was very tasty. Overall it was good experience.

This hotel is always nice with welcoming front staff to restaurant and management . The rooms are clean and tidy.I highly recommend this hotel to both business and traveling guests. Great location. My preferred work accommodation.

Ok for staying overnight. Moderately priced for a hotel in Guwahati Not many choices in food. Clean rooms with minimal furniture. Very close to railway station and the main market. Near the malls. Local convenience is readlily available

Situated in a very prime location and carrying a legacy of reputation Nandan hotel is one of the best option to stay at Guwahati for middle class budget. The complementary buffet breakfast every morning is a wonderful experience for any guest. Cleanliness, security and behaviour of the stuff are excellent.

...what more can I say... we arrived at the hotel in the morning and the only food we had outside on that day was (tea and) toast at home before travelling to Guwahati. Upon arriving in Guwahati and the Nandan the only food consumed was from the hotel. We were sick for the next few days and it was a real struggle to travel back home. House keeping staff saw our condition and whilst at the hotel we emailed the management to explain our plight: to date we have not received a response. We used the same email address as that for booking the room, in case you are wondering yes, at the time of reservation the response was rapid. We (3 adults) had booked a suite: the room was dark, dirty and stank of cigarettes. The same can be said for the condition of the hotel: the Nandan is banking on former glory but the truth is Guwahati has moved on. The staff were useless: I couldn't connect to the wifi and the guy at front desk told me it was because I didn't have data switched on!! If I am using data why would I need wifi?! Whether it was house keeping or room service the staff loitered around waiting for tips. It was really sad state of affairs. The breakfast room was gross! (One of our party was diabetic so needed to eat something even though desire was not there). He picked up a plate and it had turmeric stains on the back of it. Every surface was sticky. The best bit was the route from lift to the breakfast room, the doorway contained what looked like years of dirt. So by now I think you get the impression, in case you don't I attach some photos.
