Hotel Arcadia

A nice hotel with a big pool even though the pool area isn’t welcoming at all (nowhere to sit, no towels etc). I’ve seen some comments on stuff in previous reviews, I’d say that they were friendly in Indian standard. Good area close to the bus station. WiFi not working.

The front desk is very disorganized. Refrigerator is not working and I’m supposed to be here for 9 days. They said they will not replace the refrigerator and won’t say why. They just tell you that it’s not working and not even an apology. They are also extremely nosy, always asking if someone is staying at the hotel. The Skybar is a joke, no one is there either the day or at night. Also, no curtain in the bathroom to separate the shower and toilet, so when you take a shower water is all over the bathroom. I spent so much time cleaning up the water and asking for more towels. I will probably leave early and check into the grand ambassador.

We ate dinner in the Sky Bar, what a fantastic view! We also used the rooftop swimming pool which was lovely. Helpful staff. The room was vast and very swish.

The service was not quite as friendly as other places in Kerala we have visited. There were three receptionists and yet the check in process was very slow. They accidentally charged us twice for the room although they did refund us the next day. We could not get the TV to work. The pool had a lot of straws and used serviettes in it which was gross.

Room was good... cleanliness was very good... facilities were ok... bed could be better

bed could have been better.... parking limited. not happy about the parking arrangements.

Only problem is Ac was not proper position it is on corner side and not have much cooling I woke up with full body as sweating because of humidity in the room for this problem i check out earlier and continued my journey on night

The food at Skybar was excellent, and the service in the bar was friendly and attentive.

I recently stayed at Hotel Arcadia Kottayam with my wife, and unfortunately, our check-in experience was quite disappointing. The staff at the front desk treated us with a lack of courtesy, making us feel as though we were staying as a favor rather than as paying guests. When I had a few questions during the check-in process, the responses were dismissive and unprofessional, almost as if we were being mocked.
