Residence Inn by Marriott Hazleton

Check in time starts at 3 pm but we're able to check in after 7pm. This is too long if a wait!!!!!We're told that there us no enough housekeeping to clean the room. Very inconvenient ! I booked to have a comfortable stay but ended up with frustrations .We arrived at the hotel at 5pm to check in and we're told it will take 1 hour more to clean the room. We waited until past 7pm to check in. There is no manager or supervisor available on weekends. I was asking myself,did I booked on a group of Marriott Hotel ?because it seems like I did not.

Reception service was very poor and not kind. We ask about late check out and the receptionist was very rude ans said no, even the hotel was empty. Breakfast service is limited and poor. Not many choices to pick but at least it's nice to have a good size room to rest which I would say it's the best of our stay.

The room was clean, but had an overpowering odor! It smelled like burnt maple syrup/old coffee and it was headache inducing. The smell did not dissipate at all, still smelled it strong the next morning. We had extra pillows delivered to the room that evening and the front desk clerk smelled it too and said she would “leave a note about it”. There are no bulk ice machines available. Upon inquiry, we were told the ice maker was “in our room”. Okay, all the fridges are equipped with ice makers... but they are kept off! By the time you turn it on and wait for ice, you’re checking out the next morning. We had to run to the local mart for ice. The pool area smelled so strong of chlorine our asthmatic child had an episode just from being in the pool house and we couldn’t even go in the water, just went back to our room.

The only thing I didnt like was that I didnt get extended check out. I had checked in at around 1:30 am and I had to go somewhere in the morning early at 8 am. I wanted my 2 kids (1 & 3) to stay at hotel with my wife because it would get very tiring, but i wasn't allowed so they had to wait about 5 hours in the car with me while I finished my business.

Everyone was really helpful and delightful. Rooms were spacious.

This hotel was fantastic..after a long ride on the motorcycle the lemon ice water was refreshing to drink. The hot tub was perfect and the bed was very comfortable..would definitely stay here again and for longer!!

Two loud fighting poodles on second floor barking like mad too midnight. Kitchen surfaces are not scrubbed/not sanitized. I found stuck good in more than one place on marble countertop.

It's a decent place with friendly staff. Would stay again if I visit this area

Best trip ever

The room was very noisy it was located near an a/c unitoutside. It woke us up at 6:00 a.m. We complained and they moved us to another room. However that room also had a system located outside that was extremely noisy. We then decided to check out a day early. We were tired of changing rooms. We spoke to the asst manager Jerry, who told us he couldn't give us credit for the room because we booked with Expedia.
