The property was absolutely beautiful... The staff were very professional and friendly.. I would definitely recommend and visit again .. The only negative 👎 was I asked for an early morning call at 8am .. I never got the call !! This happened on both mornings I stayed .. when I told the blonde haired girl at reception she didn’t apologise or gave a reason why ?? This I thought was very unprofessional... to happen twice was terrible...!!

Awful food, tired decor and uncomfortable beds.

Was there 1st time some 25 years ago and it was amazing. Went back a couple of more times since and each time was also special. Last visit being 15 years ago. This time though, the premises is old and neglected. Wooden floor are stripped of any shine, white doors looks grey. And the wine list reminds me of Nando's but maybe a couple of notches up. Food was nonetheless acceptable and service though friendly and responsive, is that of Holiday Inn level.

Eautiful building and nice grounds. Food is really good. Staff in some parts of hotel not very attentive. Staff training requires some attention. Some tic required in some rooms especially stained and ruffled carpets

Truly a wonderful place to stay. Read about the history of the building and family that built it before you go ~ readily available via internet searches. Amazing architecture. Perfect staff and rooms. Food is great too. Fantastic grounds.

Lovely old world type hotel, elegant and refined. Pleasant rooms and dining areas.

Poor stay, staff unorganised and couldn't care less. Average hotel at a big price!

What an amazing hotel - palatial and luxurious - food in the bistro was good and pretty reasonable - probably full of weddings at the weekend but during the week quiet and good value - great breakfast
