The hide-a-bed in the King suite was very uncomfortable

The shower. No shelf for my stuff. No grab handles. The soap, shampoo bottles installed backwards. Bad design.

I was offered a special lower rate for being an Sig Sauer Academy student … great. That option was not posted on the SS website. If you offer that rate, SS should announce it … more business for you, happier students. Win-Win.

The location was convenient for getting to and from our daily destinations. Staff was friendly.

Very unappealing exterior and signage that was too small. The biggest disappointment was that we did not see any indication that this hotel was undergoing a renovation (that started in December 2024) when we booked our reservation. A number of rooms on our floor were being reconstructed. Fortunately, workers were not there on the weekend. Breakfast had much less variety than other hotels we've stayed at where breakfast was included. We were charged a $200 deposit. That seemed a bit overkill to us. We stayed 4 nights and did not opt for housekeeping. We were initially charged for 3 nights and then on the day of the last night, we saw a charge for the 4th night. We spoke to the manager to ask about the $200 deposit being refunded. He was a little confused, so we are watching our credit card bill to be sure we were not overcharged.

The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast was a typical hotel meal. We were outraged because we booked an Executive King Suite to accommodate myself, my husband and our adult son. The suite would have provided a separate space for our son (and he’d have his own tv). I called the hotel front desk a week before to make sure our king suite was all set and I was assured it was. All the Executive King Suites were under renovation! If we had been made aware of this prior to our arrival we could have made other arrangements. They put us in a room with 2 queen beds - room was tight and not what we expected. Although, they gave us a discount, we were very angry that we received no communication about the planned renovations. Given the option we would have made other arrangements! It will be a long time before we’ll trust Marriot for accommodations!
