Lovely location. Walking distance to local cafe's and the Monty Brewing company. The room was very clean and comfortable. It included a microwave and dishes which saves a lot of money! Very quiet location.

The motel was easy to find and in a convenient location. We appreciated being able to check in early, and having sheltered parking directly outside the room was helpful. It also seemed convenient that there was a restaurant on site, and initially, we thought it might even become a regular spot for us. On arrival, the room appeared tidy and suitable for a short stay.

We stayed here for one night after attending an event, simply needing a bed and a warm shower before continuing our journey home. We found it odd that the TV had been removed (replaced from a hanging to freestanding), with cords still hanging from the wall, but as we were only staying one night, we didn’t think too much of it at the time. After returning late from our event, we attempted to have a shower but found there was no hot water at all. We left the tap running both ways for approximately 10 minutes, assuming it might take time to heat up, however the water remained completely cold. As it was late, we went to bed without showering. When getting into bed, we noticed stains on the sheets that appeared to be blood, which meant we slept on top of the covers instead. The shower also continued to drip throughout the night. The following morning, we tried the hot water again with the same result — still no warmth. At checkout, we mentioned the issue to a staff member and were told, “It’s gas, it takes a while.” We’re unsure what would be considered “a while,” given the tap had already been left running for 10 minutes with no change. Based on our experience, we’re unsure how this motel has a 4-star rating, as we weren’t able to get even a warm shower. The lack of hot water and the condition of the bedding made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing.
