Sutra Beach Resort

Close to a very dirty beach, very Noisey indeed with echoing corridors and impossible to sleep. This is a Muslim Hotel and expect to be frowned upon if you conduct yourself in a western way I.E sunbath in swimwear. There is a non alcohol policy and not for sale and will be frowned upon if you even mention it. Meals are available but at maylayian influence. Unna at reception was amazing, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The pool is lovely, sun beds uncomfortable, rooms are extremely tired, set in the 1980s and in need of refurbishment.

The beach is excellent but the property is in poor condition. We were a group of 7 and took 3 rooms at the resort. The rooms and bathrooms are old, with poor lighting in some rooms. They have 1 restaurant with a limited menu. Breakfast quality was poor too. It seems to be a popular weekend destination for the local Malaysian population. I wouldn't recommend it to foreigners unless it's a tight budget holiday.

The staff are really nice and the views are great but the place is really bad... more suited for the locals. It’s a bit unnerving to see fully clothed people in the pool!!

Based on my sister comments, she said the things that can be improved are television in the hotel room, the varieties of food on breakfast buffet and the time for checking-in.

Hotel with quite good environment surrounding, but the room is too old with smell. Suggested to refurbish the hotel room.

Cleanliness is a concern. Toilet not really clean. Cafeteria plate and cup have stain.
