"Not bad but not great, sorry!"

6.0

We arrived late about 11pm from the airport, staying for 8 nights. I was given my room and my friend given his room. My room was like an "original" awful old room, no balcony or pool view that my room booking had promised, and had an overpowering damp smell (which i discovered the next morning was due to a rice field butting up against that building). My friend, however, did receive the room as described on the booking, hence i requested a change of room the next morning. Breakfast is quite average, and service was inconsistent. All lights in my room didn't work one night (obviously a fuse or cut-off) and was simply told by reception i would have to wait until the next day before it could be looked at, therefore we hunted down some assistance ourselves. We booked at a "special" price, but i wouldn't want to have paid any more than we did. However, the pool and gardens are nice, the view to the neighbouring rice fields is lovely and the hourly shuttle to town is handy. Wifi was quite weak. My stay there was "okay" - could have been worse.

"Heaven on Earth."

8.0

Love this place, stayed here many times before. Service, neighborhood, location is perfect.away from too busy & moist downtown Ubud but close enough for a short 5 minutes ride in free shuttle to heart of Ubud. Yoga classes & spa everywhere near the resort or just minutes ride away. Perfect. Had my usual room on the second floor, facing Holy Mt Agung & the paddy fields; ideal for my morning meditation. Service is great as always.:) Putu, the receptionist is the best! Heaven on earth,in Bali! See you guys next year!!☺️ Namaste.

A wonderful place to stay, the staff are extremely helpful, fantastic breakfasts and there are many beautiful areas around the resort to enjoy different experiences including its own temple. A truly enjoyable experience.

"Well worth it!"

8.0

Perfect place for a few days in Ubud! Staff extremely friendly , rooms perfect and pools just great. Airport pickup service was a great way for easy travel from flight to resort. And the free area shuttle and pickup meant we were always a few minutes away from the centre of Ubud. Definitely would recommend this place especially for the value.

"Nice place, good value"

8.0

We liked Anini Raka. Price was around $40/night, it was quiet in the room, close to town, supermarket and restaurants very close walk. Restaurant was poor, wifi didn't work in the room but did in the lobby and restaurant. Staff were very nice. The hotel is in the thick of things, right off the Main Street into town, but the street noise was not a problem. If you want to stay in a rice field find a different place, if you want good value close to town stay here.

"3 nights at Anini Raka"

6.0

The hotel is only good for budget travelers. Room's air-con was not satisfactory (barely could maintain about 26 degC) and the bed had ants. Breakfast spread is very-very limited, in fact has only 3 set meals. Location of the hotel is slightly off central Ubud (about 2.5Kms). For Indian travelers - theres an Indian restaurant bang opposite the hotel.

"Nice place but a few problems"

6.0

Anini Raka is a good old school Bali resort, back in the day this would have been one of the great ones. But now its just another room with nothing special to offer.Overall it is still a great place but it does need some work. Nothing in the bungalow seals shut, not the sliding doors, not the windows and the bathroom is literally free access to all bugs. Mozzie netting around the bed is a requirement but they made this on the cheap and did not overlap and seal closed on any of the 4 bed sides. As a result we fired the Geckos as we were mauled by mozzies. TV was an old not LCD as listed. This didn't really bother me as we were not there to watch tv, thankfully! the antenna cord was corroded and reception was simply static that could not be improved. This is when the Geckos in the room was good as you had something to watch. Shower spilled more water into the adjoining room that probably went on me, sunken bath was mouldy and filthy. Each day it was full of bugs that the Geckos never got a chance to eat. Breakfast was a choice of very lightly cooked toast, burnt bacon, eggs and some fruit. After 2 days of this you will be looking for somewhere else to go. Its poor at best, but it is food and nothing more. Look this place is ok, a little far out of town for me but they do have an hourly shuttle. If they did some room maintenance, such as installed a 1 piece mozzie net around the bed that closed, improved breakfast then this place would be great.

"Good enough for 1 night."

8.0

Hotel is a bit out of date therefore interior is old fashioned, TV old and hurts your eyes while watching. Bathroom was not the nicest. You have two swimming pools which are decent size for a quick swim. Breakfast (we had continental) was alright. Hotel is located about 30/40mins walk to centre of Ubud which is not bad. Generally stay was ok for onw night. I would not stay there longer. Not my type of place.

The bedroom is lovely, but needs a good clean, the sink in the bathroom was very dirty.
