Daegu Grand Hotel

Comfortable bed. Great location. Price would have been great if everything promised was available and open.

Restaurants were closed. Sauna was being renovated. Staff seemed confused on what was open and what was not. Staff assured me the sauna was only closed for one day. I found out the next day it was closed for renovating for weeks. The carpet and some furnishings need to be replaced. It was probably an immaculately beautiful hotel 15 years ago. But it is in serious need of updates and better communication with staff.

Great place to stay!

Despite being Korea's third largest city, Daegu lacks higher end hotel options with most accommodations being love motels or hotels with love motel level facilities and service. Daegu Grand is one of the few good options, one of even fewer in the city center. Location next to Beomeo station is superb. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but .ore than adequate. Starbucks on the lobby floor is convenient for coffee drinkers.

주변에 필요한 매장이 많아 좋습니다

지역에서 최고의 호텔에 맞는 운영을 기대합니다. 건물의 얼굴에 해당하는 주 출입구 바로 옆으로 흡연, 담배꽁초가 흩어져있네요. 그 자리는 금연구역이라고 확실히 붙여져 있는데 말이죠. 환풍문제인지 객실 담배냄새가 있습니다. 지하주차장 기계식장비가 있는 쪽에 주차 후 타이어 펑크가 났습니다. 주차장 관리 책임이 호텔에 있음에도 불구하고 책임을 회피하려는 태도에 진심 4성급 자격이 있는지 묻고 싶네요.

It was a Grand experience

This hotel was good maybe 10-years ago. Currently, the overall facility is too old and I cannot find the care about the room condition. It's not bad, but I won't stay here going forward.

Staff are nice and they provide 4 free water bottles in the room. The negatives are that guests aren't able to control the temperature (it was set at 26 degrees Celsius/79 degrees Fahrenheit in April). They have a small window that we can open to let some air in to cool down but no screen so bugs can easily fly in. Also, there are no plug-ins by the bed so you'll have to charge your phone far away from you when you sleep.
