Seascape Holidays - Tropic Sands

The location was fantastic, the apartment had everything we needed. We could prepare a meal there as well as plenty of room to spread out. Parking onsite made things easy and the property was very clean and tiday.

The beds were a little hard for my liking and therefore not very comfortable. Shower was tiny as well.

Great location. Was cheap and cheerful which was just what we were looking for. 200m from the Main Street but far enough away not to get all the noise.

Bed old and very uncomfortable they replaced mattress which was cheap and still uncomfortable. Dirty fans, windows, bathroom exhaust fan, blocked basin and thick of dust above microwave . It definitely needed a very thorough clean.

The location of this property was good, a 10 minute walk to the wharf and a bit less to four mile beach. The layout of the apartment was fine but it fell very short on furnishings. The couch was very dirty and needs changing, no coffee table and the main small dining table was wobbly. The TV was OK but only small. The lighting was pretty terrible with only old fashioned yellow light bulbs in art deco glass covers. No updated down lighting had been installed which should have been done well and truly by now. I found it hard to even read in the poor lighting. The bed was fine and comfortable enough. The parking underneath the building was adequate. So generally, the unit needs a refresh and update and does not currently meet the expectation of a stay in a place like Port Douglas.

Ideal location, we could manage without a rental car because the beach, marina and shops were an easy flat walk. Lovely bedroom, wardrobe, ceiling fan and at night we opened the shutters to have air moving thru from the living area. having a bedroom was great because it meant the night owl could watch TV without disturbing me. Beautiful 4 mile beach was clean patrolled and great for a walk or swim. Recommend Reef sprinter half day trip to snorkel the outer reef and Lady Douglas river trip to spot crocodiles (snack drink and fun informative Captain commentary) Great balcony and lovely solar heated pool. Used the BBQ so convenient.

Unfortunately I hurt my foot on the pool decking it is time to replace some timbers. The shower drain is loose and needs securing so an accident or blockage doesnt occur. (Unit 3)

Close to town and all amenities. 2 minutes walk to beach. Property is tired but was clean and tidy.

Slightly better maintenance on the property. there was damaged decking around the pool and swelling of doors in the bathroom.

Location was great, only a 2 minute stroll to beach and Macrossan Street.

Sadly there were several things that we weren't happy with, firstly the apartment was dirty, an accumulation of gunge in the shower plus much more. The whole complex was badly in need of refurbishment. Secondly the internet was very poor, we were unable to access emails or internet for most of our stay.

Location & cost. Well equipped spacious apartment #9..

The apartment needs a good clean. Floors dirty, don't think they've been mopped for a while. My feet were black just walking from the bathroom to the bedroom. The bathroom is moldy. Lack of ventilation. The couch is very stained. On a busy road, so a bit noisy. Shared laundry dirty, with overflowing washing machine filters. The decking around the pool has rotted and is dangerous. One of the sunloungers had rusted through and couldn't be used. There is no management on site, so lack of maintenance and checking of the facilities.

We loved the unit. It was perfect in size, location and fit out for a couple. We parked underground and had an easy walk up the steps to the unit. The kitchen was well equipped and the oven was an absolute bonus. The bed was comfortable. The balcony was so nice. It was an easy level walk to the pool, which was heated to a perfect temperature. An easy 8 minute walk to all the restaurants etc of Macrossan Street and we are seniors. The unit was immaculately clean and was so quiet and was incredible value for money.

The size of the shower was a tad small for older people trying to wash their feet. Needed a step or ledge.

Place was clean and tidy, just the couch could do with a good clean (had stains on it)and the chair cover. Bed was comfortable. Was close, easy walking distance to everything.
