Tolani Resort Koh Kood

Beachfront villas are really gorgeous. Was hard to drag ourselves away from our terrace and that beautiful view. Gardens well maintained and very stylish looking resort in general. Beds very comfortable, with nice linen and pillows. Kayaks free to use. Beach towels, toiletries and unlimited free drinking water provided. Good breakfast choices. Resort car available for pick up and drop offs at a cost. Good moped rental shop very close by and easy walk to some bars and restaurants within 20-30mins.

Rooms are a little tired for the cost. Lots of gaps in the doors so can't keep the insects out. Air conditioning in the room was very poor but could have been just not working properly in our room (Hale 4). No direct access to beach, need to swim across the mouth of the river to the beach opposite, which is the beautiful Klong Chao beach. Was easy enough, just something to be aware of. Drinks very expensive at the bar compared to other resort bars. Pool very small. Better to swim in the sea.

Idyllisch hotel op een geweldige locatie. Leuke kamer met geweldig uitzicht over een van de mooiste stukjes van Koh Kood. Staf is geweldig en niets is te veel. Zeer goed ontbijt met ruime westerse en oosterse keuze. Restaurant is ook erg goed. Wel iets duurder dan de gemiddelde restaurants op het eiland, maar de gefrituurde noedels zijn echt een topper. Kamer leuk en exotisch ingericht en bevatte alle benodigheden. Klein minpuntje was dat de douche niet 100% werkte maar daar hadden we nauwelijks last van. Als je van pure luxe houdt dan zou je deze accomodatie kunnen beoordelen alsof het zijn beste tijd heeft gehad, maar als je je enigszins verdiept in de levens situatie op het eiland dan past dat juist optimaal bij de sfeer. Wij hebben hier enorm genoten, ondanks dat het weer in de week dat wij er waren niet 100% was.

Nice looking hotel, with beautiful views to the stunning beach opposite. Our Beachfront Villas were clean and comfortable, and we loved the outside shower with plenty of hot water. Staff were very helpful booking our onward transport and ferry.

If you are looking for a beach hotel this is not it! I am not sure if the beach has been washed away, by the work going on nearby, but certainly during our stay, it did not match the photos on this site. There is a beautiful beach in view, across the entrance to the estuary, which you can swim to, but several times we experienced speed boats passing so fast, they would not have noticed anyone in the water, an accident waiting to happen! If you want to enjoy the beach opposite, you need to borrow their kayaks, or rent scooters, as we did, as it's quite a walk by road. Breakfast was good, but one coffee machine for all the guests, meant it was in demand and broke down several times. The pool was small for the number of guests staying in the hotel. Overall, we all (two couples) felt that this hotel wasn't worth what we had paid for a Beachfront Villa, with no beach!

Highly recommended, Our stay was AMAZING! Kaow catered to our every need. He even arranged a unbelievable flower arrangement in our room for our 10-year Anniversary. Kaow even went above and beyond to secure a romantic boat ride to help us celebrate the big day! I can't Thank you enough Kaow, you made our trip so special, and we will never forget out time at your resort. Thank you all for this unforgettable experience. Can't wait to come back!!!

Great stay at Tolani, yes it is true there is no beach but you can take a kayak (for free) and literally 1 min later you are at what many would call a bounty island beach, amazing! Also great snorkeling nearby! Staff is super friendly! Great spacious rooms, the outside shower/bathroom makes it even more of an exotic stay. But the highlight of our stay was to meet Mr. Tong and his team. Mr. Tong took us on a whole day snorkeling and driving trip and it was just the best. His experience as a dive instructor and his friendliness was so appreciated, our kids didn’t want to leave the place because of that! Make sure to book a private boat trip with him, whether you go diving or snorkeling! We also tried skim boarding - lots of fun and Tolani has the perfect location for it! Def recommend Tolani on Koh Kood!

The hotel was advertised and depicted having a private beach on their website which swayed us into choosing this hotel , in fact they don’t have a beach at all, just a rocky sand bank that is exposed when the tide goes out in the evening. Food is the most expensive locally and the portion sizes small. The hotel is situated on the corner of a main road One plus was free kayak usage enabling access to local beaches and crystal clear waters at the other hotels.

Superfint hotell med jättetrevlig och hjälpsam personal! Vi hade fem riktiga toppendagar på Tolani och kommer definitivt tillbaka om vi återvänder till Koh Kood. Enda är att det inte finns någon strand direkt intill hotellet, men det är bara en väldigt kort simtur (ca 40 meter) eller en kort tur med moped till en jättefin strand.
