Hotel San Roque

The 18th-century house in the middle of the pretty old town of Garachico is lovely, and has been beautifully restored, with two traditional patios, one for relaxing and the other containing the pool and restaurant. There's a sense of style and great attention to detail everywhere, from the very comfortable seating and fittings in our room to the little buzzers dotted around so you can summon a waiter any time you need a drink! What really made our stay, though, was the charm and great friendliness of everyone at the San Roque, who really did make us feel ultra-welcome. It's a cliche but nothing was too much trouble, and all delivered with a smile. The restaurant was great too, with some very fine Canary Island wines, and outside the door it's only a short walk to Garachico's plaza or its (not to be missed) natural rock swimming pools.

Genuinely cannot think of anything! There could maybe be a bar on the roof, but that's carping. Thank you all so much/muchísimas gracias por todo!

The staff was SO friendly: everyone was really kind and helpful and made us feel at home. The hotel is also beautiful and the atmosphere is really relaxing.

The pool schedules were a little restricted but this is to ensure customers can enjoy the eating area - so all in all we loved everything.

Outstanding service and cozy hotel.

Breakfast was varied and generous. Dinner was exceptional, clearly an excellent chef and the waiter was charming.

Unusually there was no complimentary water provided in the bedroom.

Beautiful hotel with great, professional staff. Lovely heated pool and a solarium on the roof. Restaurant also very good. There are buttons all through the hotel where you can call staff to get a drink or a snack.

Garachico is lovely, however a lot of bars and restaurants were closed. We ended up eating at the hotel both nights we were there, which we liked, but would have liked to eat elsewhere as well.

The general quality of the hotel, service, welcome, privacy and elegance of the hotel.

The noise generated by cars driving on the cobblestones of the street in front of the hotel. Fortunately, the passage of cars is not too frequent.

Breakfast around the pool was such a relaxing start to the day.

The air conditioning did not function.
