Sunrise Inn

When I booked this hotel (a week in advance) I booked a King size bed. When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that they didn't have any King size rooms available. There were not many cars in the parking lot leading me to believe that they probably don't have any King size beds at all. I asked for a discount, since I booked a King room and was given a Double room. He sternly stated, "NO DISCOUNTS!" I argued my case and he again said, "NO DISCOUNTS!", so I reluctantly took the double bed. I almost fell out of the bed several times during the night as I am used to sleeping in a King size bed. There were also ants in the bathroom and on the tub. This hotel is a very old hotel in bad need of updates. It is also overpriced for what you get. I will be staying somewhere else when I return to the area next week. BEWARE of this place. I hope this helps you make your decision about this hotel. Hotels.com also lists the checkout time to be noon, I was told that checkout time is 11:00 am. Seems there is much deception at this place.

Stopped in for a bit used some free wifi nice and clean free cookies and milk at 7 👍👍👍

I enjoyed my stay the bed was comfortable, Wi Fi works without hassles.I asked for a Handicap room I was given a room on the ground floor,however it lacks the Handicap part such as tall facilities and grab bars in the bath.

This roach motel is the worst place I've seen.. walked in room roaches running on walls...then we pulled the bed cover back to see a large mildew spot on bed...the comforter was all dirty and burned up...toilet seat was nasty and wore out...the ac wasn't cooling...and the room door didn't lock...then we went back to office and was refused our money back...called cheap tickets and it took awhile but we got a credit back from cheap tickets... and this is non american owned!!!! Terrible staff This place should be condemed!!!! You have been warned!!!

Horrible motel. AC hardly cooled, asked for non smoking room and got a smoking, very sick now with allergies from it. TV sucked. Would not recommend this motel

I wish I had read the reviews before making this booking. Right off the bat after walking into the check-in counter I knew I had made a mistake when I was greeted by a barefoot man. Not to mention the hundreds of miscellaneous Indian/Hindu figurenes that were haphazardly scattered throughout the lobby. The room was disgusting. Our sheets had NUMEROUS holes from cigarette burns, the carpet floors were sticky, and the bathrooms were in surprisingly terrible condition. There were dirt stains all over the walls, doors, and pretty much everything in the rom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Jasper is a fine small Texas town, but I'd never come back here again. After our trip we diecided that we will just bring out camping gear and rough it outdoors next time. This place desperately needs to clean up its act.

Bad area. Staff when checking out was not trained. Stains on sheets and towels. A/C would not blow enough to cool off room. Ran low.
