Good and pleasant hotel, friendly and helpful staff. We ate twice at Horus restaurant, which was very good. We were surprised that few people were eating there, even though the food is really good.

A Memorable Stay at Hotel Barcelo Giza Pyramids Our recent trip to Cairo was truly unforgettable. The main highlight was, of course, visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum and marvelling at the legendary Tutankhamun collection. Having stayed at Hotel Barcelo Giza Pyramids before, our expectations were high—but this visit exceeded them in every way. We enjoyed three nights at the hotel, then embarked on a Lake Nasser cruise, before returning for another three-night stay. Throughout our time in Cairo, we relied on the hotel’s excellent transport services to explore the city’s wonders: the awe-inspiring Giza Pyramids, the enigmatic Sphinx, the GEM museum, the Museum of Civilization, the Saqqara stepped pyramid, and the ancient city of Memphis. A special mention goes to Emad, our driver and local expert, who enriched our journey with fascinating insights and introduced us to some superb local restaurants. Thanks to Emad, we truly immersed ourselves in Cairo’s vibrant culture. But the true highlight of each day was unwinding at the hotel’s spectacular rooftop bar. Perched high above the city, the bar offered panoramic views of Cairo’s skyline, with the majestic pyramids rising in the distance. As the sun set, the sky would glow with golden and pink hues, casting a magical light over the ancient monuments. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with guests savouring superb local beers and delicious Egyptian cuisine. Each evening felt like a celebration, as we watched the city transform under the stars, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the pyramids. Every meal at the hotel’s restaurants was exceptional, adding even more flavour to our Egyptian adventure.

We had a wonderful stay, from the very friendly reception staff to the staff in the lobby and restaurant, all were very helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean with good amenities. Breakfast was exceptional. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Ahmed who works at the travel agency of Barcelo Hotel has made my stay in Cairo exceptionally great. He is very friendly, helpful and gave me sound advice on how to safely explore the Cairo city as a solo traveller. Being one of the first Egyptians I met, his warm hospitality made me feel very welcomed and left me with great first Egypt impression.
