The Mt Vernon Inn

I was deceived. This hotel smells/looks bad. The no refund policy is a sign to not stay here. And the A/C wasn’t working in 83 degree weather. So they bought me a cheap fan. And they only have single beds after i ordered doubles beds for me and my family. No towels in the room as a hotel should have. I felt like i was staying in a boarding home.

The windowsill was broken, cracked, crumbling concrete and a significant amount of air from outside freely passed through. There were four windows in my room, and the locks were broken on all of them. The water-damaged faux-wood floor underneath one window bent every time I stepped on it, and I had to wear shoes every time I walked because the cracks between the planks pinched my feet. There were cigarette burns on the bedspread, poorly-patched holes on the ceiling, and a faint mildew smell. The refrigerator and wi-fi did not work. This hotel is located less than a half-mile from a correctional facility, and police sirens went off in the neighborhood several times throughout the night. They don't have on-site parking, so you also need to factor in an additional $20 a day if you drive here. I booked on Hotels.com and held the room with a credit card, but was going to pay cash when I got there. The staff called me at 11 am and tried to tell me that they would cancel my reservation unless I paid them over the phone right then.

I stayed their for 2 weeks, they offered the best deal and rates Plus their staff is so good. I am impressed with their customer services. Planning to visit one more time. Their rooms are clean and also their room are perfect. Everyone should visit this place.

I think it was an perfect stay, they have the best deals and rates and also they offer the best service. Clean rooms, good staff, and what else you need besides an comfortable stay. I would Definitely Recommend this Hotel for a great stay.

After trying 3 or 4 places, we found Midtown Inn on Google to be close to my granddaughter at John Hopkins. It was New Years Eve and after midnight so on the computer you had to call the hotel because after midnight the date is for the following night. The gentleman said he had one room left, we found the hotel and had to park on the street. The man said in broken English that he had a room but there was a problem with the heat. "One of you go up and if it suits then I will charge $80.00". Because it was 2:30 a.m. we really didn't have a choice, so my daughter went up and came back saying it was old but she thought it would be warm enough. I looked at the man and said ARE YOU SURE WE WILL BE SAFE? He said yes and that he would be there until 7:00 a.m. So reluctantly I paid the $80.00 for 8 hours of sleep.

Great place to stay. Really enjoyed my time here and the Service is awesome. Staff made me feel welcome and at home. Next time I'm in the Baltimore Area I will stay here again. Also, cannot beat the value for what you get!

Aside from being in the middle of town, there's no other selling points. The staff didn't know the locale. The hotel has no elevator, even though it's 4 floors. There were human remnants scattered around walls and floors. And there were holes in the ceiling.

room was very clean.. its better then before now.. owner or manager there are very nice friendly peoples, very help full. location is near from downtown..free bus running round this area.everything was very nice.. next time like to stay back this motel..

Our stay at this hotel was amazing. The staff went out of their way to help us out. We were new to the city and the staff helped us find places we could visit and provided us with excellent service. The staff at this hotel is amazing.

The Inn was only 13 minute walk from the train station, it had a very nice atmosphere, the front desk manager was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for places in the area! The rooms were clean, and the ac was on point when we checked in!
