Beautiful grounds and large room

The bed was two singles pushed together with just a sheet over so was quite uncomfortable to sleep on with my partner. Also spa access wasn’t available which was a huge disappointment as that’s the sole reason we booked.

Very high standard of finishes in lodge, spotless. Lovely size. Staff very friendly & helpful

Over by the lake there is a sewerage system & the smell is really bad & it takes away from the beauty of it & therefore you can't stay at it for any length which is a shame

Parking was a problem

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The room was perfect, the shower was fantastic and the staff were extremely polite and helpful.

Everything was perfect.

Views across the golf course and greens, quiet, large rooms, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was good, and the restaurant was pleasant in the evenings too.

The double bed was actually two divan beds, so quite uncomfortable for a couple and a little disappointing considering the cost of the room. But the pillows were good, and everything was clean.

The stay had a few positive aspects, but overall it was not a pleasant experience. The breakfast was very poor and essentially inedible, which was quite disappointing. The room itself felt old and had an unpleasant smell, making it uncomfortable to stay in. On a more positive note, the spa area was okay, and there was a very cute cat at the reception, which was a nice touch.
