Opal Inn Hotel, Motel, Caravan Park

Location between Alice Springs and Port Augusta. Cost was good for northern Australia.

The room smelt like spoilt milk and an odour wafted from the bathroom. The local galahs all roosted in the one tree behind our room and made a racket all night.

It’s a very good hotel when you make a booking you get a free drink voucher to use at their restaurant which was good and also 15% off at that restaurant too, the beds were soooo comfy and the pillows are amazing

There wasn’t much not to like but the only thing would probably be maybe adding a microwave just to heat up food but it was no biggy

Second visit in a week very helpful staff good room

Spent 25 minutes trying to get door open late at night Told staff it was unsafe before hand offered to relocate but unable to as we we’re over very tired
