Blue Waters Apartments

The location was good in Labrador as it gave us access to the main shopping centre of Australia Fair and a waterfront park with multiple toilets and children's playgrounds and activities. We were near public transportation and a short drive away from the main tram line. The kids enjoyed swimming every day and the pool made for an attractive feature on the property. Rooms were spacious and fans helped air the bedrooms, while an air conditioner cooled the living area. The sofas were comfortable and coffee tables though miss-matched, were handy.

While the balcony gave a nice view of the pool, it lacked comfortable chairs and aesthetic table to match. I'm sorry, but a plastic folding table and tatty plastic chairs your grandmother paid for you to take away are not aesthetic outdoor furniture. The kitchen lacked a few cooking items including oven trays and matching pots and pans. Basically all the items in the cupboards and drawers looked like 2nd hand items from a flee market. Then there was the miss-match chairs for the nice glass table. I felt like I was sitting too low on these no budget chairs and any children would need booster seats just to eat at the table.

A sharp knife or knife sharpener and a chopping board would be very handy.

The pool was excellent, heated and big enough to swim laps. The location was handy across from the Broadwater Parklands with playgrounds nearby and safe swimming spots for kids. We had a 3 bedroom apartment which is on the top floor and there is no lift but we managed. The apartment was roomy and we had 2 car spaces which was handy. I would recommend this for families - it's not super modern but was very clean and respectable and affordable.
