Karijini Eco Retreat

Spectacular location right in the National Park. We had a deluxe tent which had a very comfortable bed and a private bathroom shared with a little frog in the loo. Yes, it’s a bit dusty and hot (there was a fan) and there are flies but it’s so worth it to feel as if you’re right in the bush. The stars are incredible. All the staff were excellent and extremely helpful and the food, cooked in a very basic camp kitchen, was exceptional.

Really nothing - I loved it there. We could have done with a sign to the Eco Retreat coming from the north. The visitor centre was marked as a turning but not the Eco Retreat. Our sat nav didn’t realise there is now a sealed road between the visitor centre and the Eco Retreat and took us a great loop so worth checking as it would have saved us a lot of driving.

I loved the tent. Beds were comfortable and showers was beautiful hot. We got burgers for dinner and sat outside and ate. Beautiful!! We were happy to use the esky to make our water and beers cold. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location for visiting the gorges. All the staff were excellent especially Simone, Callum and Hope to name but a few. The evening meals were excellent, beautifully prepared and presented.

Not what I was expecting. ‘Eco Retreat’ - I imagined a peaceful idyllic space to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Unfortunately the retreat is also a campground for families who just want to enjoy the great facilities with the normal noise and excitement that comes with that and are not necessarily there for the beautiful setting. We were not advised that the CB radio could be used to tell the staff about excessive noise.

The location was great, facilities were amazing and we ended up extending our stay! A great location with Joffre Gorge located a quick 15minute walk from the accomodation reception. The restaurant was great too.

The ensuite was quite small and the tent wouldn't zip up properly on one side.

Food was delicious, quite expensive but given you're in the middle of the outback it makes sense it's on the pricier side. Really enjoyed every meal we ate. Staff were lovely and very informative.

More than one fan in the tent to have one each in the night - it was 40 degrees during the day and took hours for the tent to cool down a bit overnight.

The location is beautiful and the walks accessible and well serviced

The Glamp was spacious and comfortable, but not exactly luxurious.
