Delphi Palace

I've stayed in a lot of hotels. This was one of the worst. I can accept small rooms. I can accept tiny showers in which you can barely turn around. I can even accept beds that aren't always ideal. All that is the nature of travel. What I can't accept is a hotel room that is not well maintained and makes me feel cruddy. Our first room here was furnished in early Goodwill and featured an open drain in the bathroom and non-functioning air conditioning on a day with temps in the mid-eighties. We asked for and received a second room (drain closed) and a promise that the AC would be turned on. We went out for dinner and returned to find no AC and a very stuffy room. The desk clerk told us he couldn't turn on the AC for individual rooms. If he turned it on for us, he would have to turn it on for the entire hotel. So? What was wrong with that, I asked? Were we the only ones entitled to comfort on a hot day? He had no answer. And we had no AC. Back in the room, I called the desk for a wake-up call. Correction: I tried to call the desk for a wake-up call. The phone didn't work. I went to the reception desk and the clerk came back with me to fix the phone. He couldn't. But he promised to knock on our door at 6:30 a.m. He did. Overall, the feeling was that they resented us being there and why were we asking for comfort? Wasn't a bed in a hot, stuffy room enough? On the plus side, we were only there one night.

The staff is Helpful. The rooms are from the 60 years earlier. There is no lift in this hotel. The most important for everyone is that when you decide to book this hotel, take some stuff for breakfast, as the option is only boiled egg, bread yogurt and maybe some butter. For the value they Re selling this hotel is no worthy.

This is a nice place with beautiful views from the rooms and dining areas. Our room was nice and clean with a balcony. The free breakfast was a bit skimpy but the dinner was good They have a large pool which was nice but could do with a paint job.

We feel that the hotel has had its glorious time... But today it is old fashioned and not well maintained. My bed was leaning I put a cover under the mattress. One of us sat on a chair at the swimming pool and fall backwards. From the windows of two rooms on three we rented we could mostly see the uncleaned roofs of the hotel. The armchairs in the living room are frayed and one looks even dirty. At the end of the corridor on our floor, floor-clothes were at the bottom of the door of the last room, with the key in its lock, ... a bit scarring. Poor quality materials are used to renovate the floors (floating floor in the corridors) and walls, communication and electricity equipments were added chaotically. At breakfast we were asked additional charge for two hot chocolates and expressos; in the other hotels we went in Greece they were included in the breakfast. If the owner had the means to maintain the building and its infrastructures, this hotel could be a nice place to rest.

Très bon séjour, petit hôtel calme et familial. Propre dans l'ensemble et personnel gentil.

The Delphi Palace is an old building and probably needs some attention in parts, but my family and I had a very comfortable stay when passing through for the night. The rooms had a really good view down towards the Gulf of Corinth, and the location is a short walk from the main town, and maybe one km from the archaeological site (easily walkable.) Staff are friendly, and breakfast is a buffet (slightly below average in quality vs others we had had in Greece, but it was fine.) Overall good value, but, if I had one issue, it would be the pool. It was very murky and not at all inviting - and not at all like the crystal clear waters we see on some web site photos.

Accueil très chaleureux dans cet hôtel. Nous y avons en plus très bien mangé. Chambres communicantes appréciables.

Nice little hotel. Clean with working amnenties, air conditioning, refrigerator, wifi. Meal was good. Staff attentive. Tucked into the hillside of Delphi. Beautiful view of surrounding area from hotel balacony, from which they had outside dining experience. Enclosed pool.

Leuk hotel stijl jaren 50. Je waant je in het decor van een James Bond film. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Fantastisch als je over details heen kijkt, (hier en daar zou wat opfrissing goed zijn) prachtig uitzicht van s morgens tot s avonds.

Les commandes pour la climatisation sont gérées par l'accueil, donc on ne peut rien régler soit même. Il faut appeler l'accueil pour le mettre en route, l'arrêter, régler la température, la ventilation, etc. Et celle-ci s'arrêtait automatiquement très souvent, à ce demander si elle était elle sur minuteur ... Le personnel était adorable à l'exception de la personne que pointait le petit déjeuner qui était d'une indélicatesse à toute épreuve. Si vous n'avez pas réservé votre chambre avec petit déjeuner et que vous décidez de le prendre quand même, indiquez le à réception en insistant sur la communication au Cerbère du petit-déjeuner.
