"it was a good hotel"

The location is just off 295 which was great because we wanted to avoid driving on 95 thru downtown Richmond. The staff was very polite and helpful when I checked in late on Sunday May 10. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, unfortunately it was apparent someone had stayed in the room recently with a dog because when we first walked in you could smell it and then we noticed obvious paw and nose prints on the window in the bedroom. The breakfast was really good with all the usual including waffles, fruit, muffins, oatmeal, bagels

"Great hotel minus the jet plane HVAC system"

What a beautiful little hidden gem! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were offered water when we checked in. The room was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed for a family of 4. Breakfast was very tasty and we used the exercise equipment and the pool. There was a large children’s party there while we stayed there but that’s not the hotels fault and we still got in for a swim. Definite unique treat was a fire pit at the front for relaxing by. CONS: The pool room and hotel halls were very warm and the HVAC that kicked on very 1/2 hour sounded like a jet engine landing which woke us up multiple times.
