Kvartapart on Spassky 6

A good hotel with a pleasant service. But there was a smelling in the bathroom and it was a little annoying. A good location in Skt. Petersburg. It was at first difficult to find the hotel because there was no signs - only a metal door. Inside of the hotel - good standard.

I would not recommend this hotel. I stayed there 3 nights for business purposes. During 2 nights a group of Russian workers, also staying in this hotel, have been keeping me, and many other guests as it appeared afterwords, awake because of their singing and drinking in the breakfast room during all the night. A vary bad experience. Allthough I had a non smoking room the room filled with smoke from the breakfast room were the party was going on. I will not stay in this hotel again.

Very nice surprise; loved my room and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The neighbourhood was full of nice and not expensive restaurants. Thank you to the people of St. Peterburg for their welcome.

Very helpful and friendly staff. They went out of their way to help me out and I would definately recommend this place to others. Only fault with the room was a fuzzy TV, but I was there for site-seeing not watching TV so I can't take points off for that.

After visited three other cities, using same rating hotels, this hotel , Comfitel Alexandria doesn’t deserve the stars that hotels.com shown. First of all, there is not even a sign of the hotel; the rusty metal door has a small sign, which you can see only if you are right in front of it. Once you ring a bell and pass the awful “hall”, you have to go up to the third floor, because there is no elevator. Since the very first day on my room number 7 the carpet got wet, producing a bad odor, I went to the reception to complain, they response was “is because the people from the other room are showering”. I slept 4 nights in a bad odor room produced by the wet old carpet. They didn’t change my room. When I came back at night was easy to find the hotel …thanks to the two big trash dumpster right in front of the hotel with few homeless people that were digging around….sorry.. that was the night scene. Conclusion…very bad hotel Other day I requested a taxi, they sent me the smallest, dirtiest, oldest taxi they could find. My surprise came after when I took a nice Mercedes Benz, clean, comfortable and with air conditioner from the point that the previous one drop me off and charged me 40% less than the one before. The last day I requested a taxi to the airport, but before, I made a research about how much a ride from the hotel to the airport will be, I told her that the price is too high and I didn’t want to use the same dirty taxi, because she was about to send me the same as last time, well…I went to the reception and complained until she did call a different company…..surprise! The price dropped 40% and a very nice taxi. In every country that I visited is always the other way around…the best taxis are the ones provided by the hotel and of course, cost more. Conclusion …very bad or no service at all. This hotel was more expensive than the other three that I booked for this tour..I do not understand how hotels.com or some other organization granted Comfitel Alexandria with 3 and a half stars…therefore , why the other three hotels were I stayed before deserve the same star ratings as Comfitel Alexandria, when they were much better hotels with outstanding service ?
