Asukasou

This was a very cool ryokan just steps away from all the sights in Nara. The staff was very helpful with some requests that I had, there's a nice relaxing lounge to have tea in, the Japanese breakfast was phenomenal and they really take care of you there. The open-air hot spring on the top floor with a view of a pagoda at a nearby temple was a great way to unwind at the end of the day.

Wonderful traditional Inn, great location, wonderful staff. We also reserved the chefs dinner, which I highly recommend, delicious! And we reserved the private bath which over looks the five story pagoda lit up at night. Really was a fantastic stay.

This was my first ryokan experience, and I was very impressed. Our room was spacious with a great view of Kofukuji's pagoda. When we arrived, the person at the front desk took us to our room and explained everything. We were also given an afternoon sweet, which was a nice touch. We booked a room with dinner and breakfast included. Dinner was served in our room, and though the server didn't speak any English (so we didn't know what everything was), the food was great and experience of the multi-course meal was wonderful. I am a picky eater, so I didn't eat everything (I passed it to my husband) but I have since read in other reviews that you can request a vegetarian meal. Breakfast was equally as grand, served in the dining room. Note that it is a Japanese breakfast. We also used the private bath (an extra fee of about $32 US). As someone who wouldn't feel relaxed in the public bath, I thought the private bath was totally worth it - relaxing with an incredible view of the pagoda. As it was my first time at a ryokan, I was nervous about the rules and etiquette so I did a lot of googling, and I would also recommend doing that for other first timers. The hotel provides a binder of information, but I found it helpful to also read other tips online. The experience of the ryokan aside, this property is also in an excellent location in Nara. We were able to walk from the Kintetsu Nara station and walk to Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga-Taisha, Nara Park, etc.

Good location room OK good hospitality, close to all mayor historical places and walking beautiful street with shops

Hotel is in a great location and overall hotel condition is good. However compared to another Nara ryokan that I have stayed at last year, Asukasou lacks in english speaking staff and menu hence I did not enjoy the full experience. Also staff as not as friendly and food is subpar compared to the other Nara ryokan that I have stayed at.

予約後詳細を確認していなかったからか、子ども用の追加布団が敷かれていなかったり、フルブレックファストに食事付きにしていた幼児分が出てこなかった。 朝食の内容も子どもは好みではなく食べなかったので敢えてその場では何も言わなかったけれど、子ども分追加料金を支払っているのに対応はされていなかった。予約システムとの行き違いかなとも思う。 雨が降り傘を持っていなかったので貸してもらえたのはありがたかった。

Friendly staff great location good food

別のグループがチェックアウトしてる間、元気で遊び盛りの小さな子ども達の相手をしていました。元気のいい年代なのでチェックアウトの手続きで目を離してる間どこかへ行ってしまったりすることも考えられます。しかし従業員の方が相手をしてくれていた為すぐ見える場所に留まれていたのが親御さんにも安心なサービスだと感じました

家族5人での滞在でしたが、部屋がとても広くゆったり過ごせました。 食事は部屋食で、一品一品見た目も味もゆっくり楽しむ事が出来ました。 家族にもとても好評でした。 機会があればまた泊まりに行きたいです。

Exelente ryokan exelente habitación estilo japonés con todos los servicios la atención la delicadeza y amabilidad sorprende. El desayuno tradicional es abundante y muy japonés, lía ubicación y vista desde la habitación maravillosa Lo mejor el ídem tanto externo como interno es fabuloso y limpio
