Mai Tai Resort

We had a phenomenal stay at the Mai Tai. Not only were the views incredible; the room super romantic (with a very cool outdoor tropical shower); and the location perfect for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, Mossman Gorge, and the Daintree Rainforest; Andre (the host) was so warm and welcoming that we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a serene and romantic stay in the most gorgeous rainforest location.

A wonderful tranquil tropical resort. Fantastic location and André the owner is a wonderful host and a warm soul. If you want to relax, but also have a base that is central to everything, this is the place. 5 stars is not enough.

Andre was a great host, the bailanese style was nice and the morning breakfast on the balcony with views of the rainforest and mountains was fantastic.

The Mai Tai Resort made us feel like we were overseas. The room was beautiful, and the four posted bed . Wow. With a table and chairs outside, we got to be amongst the rainforest with the most amazing view. A beautiful continental breakfast and amazing local fruit is available with once again a spectacular morning view. Very relaxing 3 nights, wished we booked for longer. The host was very welcoming and enjoyed his company with an afternoon wine. The also can help with booking tours. So happy we found this place 💕

Magical location, nestled in the hills of the Daintree, though near enough by car or taxi to Port Douglas and Mossman. André, the owner, is a wonderful human being, discreet, attentive and helpful, and helped us out with local tours and restaurants (highly recommend the Daintree Safari with the amazing Nicholas Fox!)

Everything about this property was exceptional. Our host Andre was amazing. We loved every moment of our stay. Waking up each morning to a wonderful breakfast and exceptional service/company was amazing. For those looking to feel like they are overseas without leaving the country this place is magical. We loved relaxing by the pool watching the Ulysses and Bird-wing butterflies flying around. The dragonfly landing on the fence. The sunbirds and other bird playing in the trees. The gardens here are beautiful and tropical. The view….oh that view….we could have looked at that view forever. This place captured our hearts and we truely didn’t want to come home. The room itself was gorgeous. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The outdoor shower in our room was a real treat. Anything we needed Andre was happy to help us with and are so grateful for being able to stay at this wonderful resort. Book your stay here and you won’t be disappointed.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

The setting was magical, secluded up in the hills with a gorgeous view down into the valley. Felt like Shangri-la. Everything was so lush and green. Andre was so gracious and attentive. We felt very pampered.

Sad when we had to leave
