Ayothaya Hotel

Great location to bike to all the wats, and it's across the street from the mini bus drop off(from Bangkok). Nice big, clean rooms, good value. Cheap bike rentals. It's too bad that it's a gross free breakfast (ice cold pre-made eggs, didn't want to touch the meat) because they tried. DO NOT BOOK YOUR BUS TICKET HERE - We over-paid by DOUBLE to get to Sukhothai. If I could make a recommendation to staff: clean your elevators, it's a really bad first impression.

The hotel has a good balance between price and quality Staff is also willing and helpful.

We only stayed here one night, but was very pleased with the hotel's location. It is with walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the night bizarre. It is definitely and older hotel, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and professional. I would recommend staying here.

The hotel is really nice and in the town centre. We had a lovely sized room. 2 free bottles of water a day and regular house keeping. We hired two bikes for the day and they were in good condition but you get to choose them anyway from quite a selection. There is a KFC and a big shopping centre minutes away and the strip with all the bars, restaurants and shops providing laundry services in the other direction. Would definitely stay again.

Good place to stay. Rooms where quite small (but with aircon), but if your up for sightseeing it doesn't matter. Fairly good bikes could be rented at OK prices. Good location close to both the old city and the train station. Breakfast however was a bit disappointing.

arriving in a strange town in a heavy thunder storm did not seem like a good beginning but it all worked out perfectly. only negative was there was only a couple of shared computers and no wi fi which for me inessential

This is perfect location when preferring to stay Ayutthaya City as opposed to nearby historical areas. The hotel is noticeably aged, most noticeable on bathroom floors (which was the case in both rooms 221 and 209) and the very old-style small television (again the case in both rooms). There is however a nice swimming pool on the second floor. The breakfast is typical Asian style cookie cutter eggs, hot-dog sausages, white bread with toaster, and fresh fruit - the one plus is this is at a buffet so is all can eat which is quite impressive considering the very low cost for this hotel. For non picky travelers such as us this worked great.

great location, neat and clean room for budget travellers

The hotel is relatively old and the lobby is very dim. However we can't complain much since the rate was very reasonable. Breakfast was simple but good and the staff were friendly. Hotel is not far from the main attractions and is actually on the street with public/private transport to Bangkok so it is convenient.

Good location as it is near shopping mall and there are many food stalls around. Service is also good.
