R Mar Resort and Spa

The resort is located very near Soi Paradise, Bangla Street, and Patong beach, but as it is off the main road, manages to be peaceful on hotel grounds. The room itself was a little dated, having a lighting control panel that was all the way into the room. Also, while the bath tub was quite large, the faucets were a little old, and some corners of the bath had dark spots. On a whole, great stay, friendly staff, and convenient location.

R Mar was a pleasure to stay at. They allowed me to check in 2 hours early, which was great. The room was lovely, the pool view also lovely. The breakfast was so delicious I probably ate more than I should have. The coffee machine was an added bonus. I had a massage at the Spa. Very nice and so professional. Thankyou Ladies. The pool area was a delight, Because it was so sunny I avoided till late afternoon..,, lol happy hour was on. Pancake you are such a lovely young man, you make the yummiest cocktails, and are an asset to the complex. For my travel experiences, Its the staff that make a stay either pleasurable or miserable. The front counter and tour desk staff are top notch. Thankyou.

The grounds/ gardens are very nice, good to look at trees and flowers. Room was good, bathroom was badly lit. Also bath taps were so far back that you need to get in to turn them on? Everyday I hung my towel up, indicating no need to change. It was replaced every time, totally unnecessary. Staff were all great. Location is near many shops and restaurants. Pool was great.

The setting, location and rooms are quite nice and we especially enjoyed the pleasant service of the two young ladies at the pool. However……. First time to Phuket and didn’t know of we’d like Patong so we reserved for just the first two nights of our 5 night stay on Phuket. We ultimately decided to stay and asked if we could stay in the same rooms. We were met with a hard no. No attempt to accommodate us (I’m pretty sure they could have just moved other reservations around; very standard protocol for stay extension requests). I tried again later. Nope! You’ll move to these rooms that look straight into another building. That’s it! (Was the impression left). Next, the wifi. The signal wasn’t bad but we had to constantly login. I probably logged in a dozen times a day. Unacceptable in this day and age. Last, the lighting system. Why do hotels think these control boxes are a good idea? Anyway, a nice resort but wouldn’t recommend or return.Quite frankly, a poorly managed facility.

A fantastic stay at R Mar Resort. Friendly staff, good rooms, pool and breakfast. Well placed in Patong, just far away to be peaceful but 5 minutes walk to the heart of the action. Will definitely return

I like almost everything from this property nothing bad to said

A lovely welcome from the front desk, fast and easy check in, my room faced another hotel so no view but it was quiet, clean and the air con made it a pleasant temperature. Cleaned daily with replacements of tea, coffee, water. I have nothing to be negative about it was a nice place. Bit dated and stained bathroom edging but it's not 5 star and I didn't pay 5 star rates. Check out again nice and simple, asked to wait just until the cleaners confirm nothing is broken or missing and then your done. I would come back here, more so as everything is 5 minutes up the road.
