Yering Gorge Cottages

We thought breakfast would be daily. There were sachets of cereal all exactly the same and not enough for 5 x 4 mornings. There were only a few teabags and ground coffee (very nice) in an air tight tin but not sealed. There was a small bottle of milk in the fridge, not enough for 5, including a young child, alongside yoghurts etc and a larger one would have been better to start us off. We appreciate we could go to reception but thought there should be enough in the cottage with more selection. Also, reception is closed on Sundays.

There was not a single coat hanger in the 3 en-suite bedrooms which was a disappointment. We thought a blind on the entry door would be good.

Cottage was clean, spacious, comfy bed with a full kitchen and kangaroos outside cottage

Location is great, just a bit far out of the way, will need a car to get anywhere

Not many options for dinner in the area

O chalé número seis foi simplesmente magnífico! Enorme, confortável, lindo, todos os dias os cangurus vinham cedinho comer gramíneas na frente do chalé e todo fim de tarde tb. Eh incrível! Emocionante para quem nunca tinha visto um canguru de pertinho! Muitos pássaros! Eu corri pela propriedade e eh linda, campos dd golfe bem cuidados, verdinhos. Maravilhoso.

Não gostei do descaso da recepção com o risco de incêndio e fogo na região de Yarra valley dia 9/1/26, tendo que nos sermos avisados pelo pessoal da vinícola Yering station, que cancelou nosso almoço e sugeriu que evacuássemos Yarra valley. Foi um susto, pânico, medo, sem sabermos o que fazer. Busquei solucionar todas as dúvidas na recepção, que apenas disse para eu baixar o aplicativo do Vic emergency e acompanhar pela abc News. Ora, que absurdo! Somos turistas estrangeiros! Eh obrigação do hotel se preocupar conosco, monitorar para nos, nos tranquilizar. Eh o minimo. Passamos uma noite em claro! Outro defeito eh nao ter ar condicionado no quarto de casal, só na sala. O quarto ficou muito quente.

The cottage was really comfortable amidst a pretty wild setting - waking up to kangaroos all around and cockatoos visiting and other wildlife sitings was an utter joy!

Nothing to report really, cottage a little short on crockery but otherwise it was glorious!
