"K-Seoul"

10.0

Convenient to get to from airport using limo bus. Local bus stop at hotel will get you to the metro stop. Not a lot of restaurant choices in the immediate vicinity of hotel but you have a reasonable number of options if you venture up the hill. I attended a conference at the hotel so it was convenient and rooms comfortable. Not a lot of drawer space to unpack luggage but it worked out.

"A few things to improve"

6.0

This hotel has potential, but it fails in a few ways that seems to me very much avoidable. When I arrived there, a bit tired, the process to put me in the room was efficient. Room was non-smoking and smelling fresh, as promised, albeit I found it a bit small and outdated - more 3 stars than 4, really. Still, comfortable, and I did not ask anything more. But the morning after, surprise! I found out that this hotel did NOT provide you with shampoo! Oh, there is shampoo - as part of the mini-bar. What kind of 4-star hotel forces you to pay $2 for a small bottle of shampoo? Let's say they could have found other ways to increase revenue than to skimp on shampoo, especially since the rate they charged me was not exactly cheap. They do have a shuttle that will bring you to a metro station (but not the closest one), which is good because they are a bit out in the wilderness. So... I would stay there again if need be, but it would not be my very first choice.

"Academia Hotel - Nice Setting"

8.0

This hotel is located on the outskirts of Seoul on the south eastern side on the way to Seongnam in a residential setting. It seems to be a center for conferences and meetings involving academic and religious group related content. Very nice huge lobby and staff with an impressive breakfast layout. I took the COEX / City Center bus (15,000 Won) from ICN and then grabbed a taxi from the City Center station to the hotel (10 min.)

"Seoul Kyoyuk Munhwa Hoekwan - inconvenient"

6.0

Hotel room is clean and neat but old. More suitable for golf enthusiasts not tourists. Very inconvenient as its distance to nearest subway is about 3 km away. Luckily the bus provides its own shuttle bus service every half hour.

"Wouldnt go back there AGAIN"

4.0

I was there with family of 5 persons in 3 Rooms and spent 4 nights. First, they had different floors and room types for the family contrary to booking reference. Took 2 days to sort that out. They said there was a golf club for hotel resident. Getting there we were asked to pay before use of facility. The (indoor) pool was not functioning.Hotel was far from city centre, so had to eat in the hotel. Food was lousy and service was poor. Breakfast of bread and toast was high. English was poor even by the front staff...a nod could mean 'no' which we found out later. Its a new hotel, taxi do not know the location so getting there was hectic. Not a place for a family. You can get cheaper hotel and better serviced hotel downtown. Will not stay there for another night even for free.....

"A lovely experience"

10.0

Everyone at the hotel was exemplary in service; polite, helpful, accomodating, kind and patient. There were enough English speakers to meet our needs. The cleanliness was outstanding; everything in public spaces was polished every day. The atmosphere inside and outside the hotel was lovely and our room was extremely comfortable and well fitted. But, bring your own shampoo. It is out of the way from the parts of Seoul that are most interesting to tourists, but is in walking distance of a large shopping mall and restaurants. Eating at the nearby restaurants is much less expensive than eating in the hotel. Be aware that there is a less expensive place to eat in the hotel other than the dining room, which is quite expensive. Also, taxis are inexpensive, the subways are great and the shuttle is accomodating, so it is not difficult to get elsewhere. Although we were under the impression that the hotel had a swimming pool, the pool does not belong to the hotel and requires an entrance fee. We enjoyed being there and would stay there again.

"Seoul Kyoyuk Munhwa Hoekwan Hotel"

6.0

I booked this hotel for 5 nights because it is close to my son who is working in Seoul, Korea. Check in was fine. Room the first night was terrible! It was old and delapidated, bathroom sink had crack running through it, carpeting was old and stained, A/C was almost non-existent, etc. I arrived late and so passed out for the night. The next morning I went down and raised hell and they switched me to a bit better room but the A/C was still very poor. Unless you want to stay here for the location do not stay here. The public facilities look nice but the rooms are third rate and not worth the price.

"Good hotel for the price"

This was a good hotel for the price, has a shuttle that makes frequent runs to the nearest subway, making it fairly easy to get around Seoul.
